Ferrari has to stik to their program, whatever it may be..you get no prize for being fastest in testing.
Almost every team had better times than yesterday;
1) Magnussen McLaren-Mercedes 1m23.276s / Button - 1m24.165s
2) Massa Williams-Mercedes 1m23.700s / Bottas - 1m25.344s
3) Hamilton Mercedes 1m23.952s / Rosberg - 1m25.588s
4) Button McLaren-Mercedes 1m25.030s / Button - 1m24.165s
5) Alonso Ferrari 1m25.495s / Raikkonen - 1m24.812s
6) Hulkenberg Force India-Mercedes 1m26.096s / Perez - 1m28.376s
7) Vergne Toro Rosso-Renault 1m29.915s / (Vettel Red Bull 1m38.320s)
8) Sutil Sauber-Ferrari 1m30.161s / Gutierrez - 1m33.270s
Button was slower and got beaten by the new guy.
Massa beat Bottas rather clearly. Same with Hulk-Perez...
It seems that (like always) the track gets faster every day.

It's obvious that we were simply concentrating on our own testing program today and not on trying to get the fastest laps. Yesterday Kimi did a 1:24.8 so we know that we can go much faster if needed. This +2,2 secs. of today means absolutely nothing! These test times cause nothing but confusion and unnecessary panic lol.

Yeah, no need to worry what-so-ever. Like .. Kimi's "fastest of the day" in Tuesday was 1.27, which is four seconds slower than today. Track gets better, teams do what they must. Some focus purely on speed, others burn up, and the rest do what they need. I bet we'll see much faster times tomorrow when everyone takes advantage of the rubber that's stuck on the track (if it doesn't rain) and gives an sample of the "true" speed.
I don't think Ferrari even have the monkey seat installed yet. We're clearly not trying to evaluate the whole performance of the car.
I highly doubt the current time standing is representative of the true performance as well, even among those 1.23 runners
I'm starting to believe that McLaren is the car to beat. Do you remember Brawn in testing?
IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT - ENZO FERRARI
Seems like only us, mclaren and mercedes are able, right now, to even think on make a race simulation.
If Mclaren is the team to beat, I guess that williams is the second, looking at the times.
Please guys, keep it cool, it's only the third day test.
They have special extra-hard tires for Jerez and the temperature is so low so it is probably impossible to say. But that much is certain that Pirelli said they were going to go conservative so laptimes will drop because of tires and probably there will be less pitstops

Sorry, but I find this comment to be rather disrespectful.
Williams has won nine constructors championships and seven drivers.. Yes, Ferrari has 16 constructors and 15 drivers, which is more, but don't be disrespectful towards Willilams team.
They do have a great history and are bound to come back one day. Maybe this year, who knows. Remember Brawn GP.. (ok, it was a gimmic, but still)
over 90 laps for McLaren...got the mercades team are gunna have some data!
Unless the Merc powertrain is really better than Ferrari's.
I hope it's just a matter of cranking all the systems up in Ferrari, but in either case, I firmly beleive Mercedes is ahead in the power unit race at this time, (please read it right, I'm saying at this time).
I'm thinking this Mclaren device might be draggy as hell. Even if they get extra downforce, they will waste more fuel during the race and will have to compensate with more fuel saving.
It's not "disrespectful" at all it's realistic, in case you haven't noticed Williams have been among the backmarkers for many years now, and unless they have found some magic wand from somewhere, they won't be suddenly going from being one of the bottom teams to being one of the top team within 3 months, come on now. But then again, who knows...we'll see how it pans out in the end.

Looks like we have been solid, reliable, decent mileage, just under the radar. Let benson Anderson kravitz bump there gums. I'm just confident with what Allison said yesterday that data and parameters are meeting expectations. I'm now a lot more confident going forward we can develop the car over the season.
To me it look like we are approacjing these tests we a slightly different philosophy than in the last years. We are not putting as much mileage as we could,we are more analizing slowly all the weaknesses of the car and studing painstackingly all the parameters now instead than in the next tests.
