#F1 Domenicali confirms track data is matching wind tunnel data which gives team solid base to work from for development. Via @omnicorse

Success usually brings out envy and jealousy from people.

It's not that long ago when same thing was said of the red team. Or McLaren.

It is unfortunate that it took a long time to get that right. But definitely better late than never.

Fantastic news! Hopefully all the wind tunnel problems are truly a thing of the past now.

When Pat Fry joined us, he said it would take couple years. And, now it looks positive now.

It does look as a decent foundation now to build on. But just five engines for the season...

Right,Pat found a nearly disastrous situation when he arrived in 2010(i am not missing Aldo Costa at all),and its a shame that his work was never been recognised when he told everyone that it would take time, well done Pat,well done guys!

That is brilliant news to know data ties up with on track results. That means our engineers can truly design updates that they know will give the performance they are designed for and this will bring back confidence to our design team and Ferrari as a whole which js what we need after the last couple of years. Our car is the coolest out there..So far is reliable . . We now have the engineers that have confidence in our wind tunnel to bring us the speed we need with our updates. . The strongest driver line up on the grid... Role on Melbourne . .

Agree. Maybe five engines for NEXT year, but not in the first year with completely new engines with new energy recovery systems..
Even the old KERS was not very reliable, especially renaults one.

Do you guys think that some teams have been sandbagging?

On another Belgian forum they say that absolutely no team has been sandbagging due to new regulations and there is a difference between sandbagging and slow driving...

The horror of these guys... (it's a pro RB forum to all those fans there)

Can you guys give me your thoughts about this!

I don't think deliberately sandbagging but I think no one has gone as fast as they could have yet as IMHO they are still gathering data and such.

No teams be sandbagging, but no teams would of been pushing to the limit. As, its only first test, and really shakedowns. Its all data collection, system checks etc etc.

They don't need to sandbag. With the unknown power levels, fuel levels, and basic aero components it's impossible for teams to know who is faster.

Thats why Cristian Horner is already saying that this year an engine manufactor and not a car will win.Well Cristian that is plain stupid. You are just jealous of our car and you are bashing it by saying practically"Well in normal situation we have the best chassis and the best aerodynamics and the best driver, and well yeah we have an engine...........,but even if this year we have a good car , we have a big problem too RENAULT!.This is the same what Mateschitz is saying, and to me it looks like that as soon as the Red Bulls people starting to have prblems they get a illness called "MENTALLY BREAKDOWN",and im waiting to see how long will it take until Renault hit back at them, you do not normally speak of your engine partners(that won 4 WCC with you) like that.We all know that this year we have a very neat car,and not only is our coke section quite impressive(it was already in 2012 and 2013 good),we have for the first time in our History i believe the smallest cooling openings of all,and even if its a way too early to judge everything in detail, the car is functioning without important cooling problems(do you hear that Adrian?).Their envy shows they are in trouble, and instead of shutting their mouths and working they are dissing on everyone apart from them, that really pathetic

Never, ever count them - or enyone else - out of the competition. I have no reason to suspect that they, Renault or RBR, could not bounce back.

I am definitely not already celebrating and Im not ruling out anyone, on the contrary, im sure that they will bounce back and there is no guarantee that we will be stronger then them.At the moment we can only speculate about us and the other ones, its way too early i know,i was just pointing out how they reacts when things dont work out well, this is what i called pathetic, just always shifting responsabilities on other ones: the FIA ,other teams or their own engine partner. If they just would look in the mirror they will surely find the responsible for their own troubles.

I think it's fair to say that rumors saying Ferrari running an water - air cooling looks to be true and that Shell and Ferrari hopefully has done a great R&D work on coolants and other liquids so that the weight penalty of having water to air cooling is minimized. I read that Scarbs had heard from other technical directors that Ferrari was not the only one running water to air intercoolers, but still there is no other team that compares to our sidepod and roll hoop openings.

However before I get too excited about our cooling abilities I will wait for the final verdict after the Bahrain tests where the average temperature will be higher.

I agree. As long as our testing route is yielding results and the design team can produce the necessary updates i feel very positive for Melbourne

I agree with you that Kimi for sure is a true champion and will bring us a lot more points than if we stood with Massa... {Maybe?} Masa never got the chance in our new car. I just don't believe Massa is at all happy with Ferrari and probably would not want to return. Being amicable towards everyone he knew at Ferrari is certainly understandable, they had nothing to do with kicking him out. It doesn't IMO mean he's at all happy with what went down. Kimi for sure was a great choice seeing that someone was going to replace Massa. Remember Ferrari is F! ! Williams is... well... Williams.

That is what I thought, they were side by side at least in that picture. And youtr right, if it was Alonso, Massa would throw him a Kiss. Again I say seeing that it had to be, Kimi was the best choice Ferrari could make. Were lucky he came aboard.
