True. But once they get around their problems, we all know the pace of their in-season development.
We need to take as many points away from them before they get their head round the issues they are facing currently.

I wouldn't enjoy a little bit if it wouldn't hit Marko and Vettel ...

Afterall your theory would say also last 4 championships of Vettel aren't worth because:
    - Ferrari or any other team wasn't able to develop over the whole season
    - Ferrari or any other team wasn't able to understand blown diffuser and all the little tricky areo parts.
    - Ferrari or any other team wasn't able to really challenge RBulls ...

how often we blamed our guys at home not to deliver a proper fast car ...

Every of the big teams where used to began at 0: areo + engine - while the other 4 years the rules were the same and mainly aero driven ...

And for now it looks like somehow some did better than other ... as it needed a wholistic approach to design the car ...

10:02 Alonso's Ferrari joins the Caterham on-track. NOW will we see that race run we've been expecting?

But we dont know our development pace trough the year now that our wind tunnel is working, the technical structure has been furterly ajusted and that we have James Allison on board leading the development department. And yeah,as Pat Fry as already said,in F1 you make your own luck concerning reliability,if you worked good through the winter than probably you wont have any"bad luck" through the season

Fernando Alonso is lapping in the 1:43s, suggesting the Ferrari could be embarking on a longer run.

Fernando doing longer run, which means we are confident with our reliability.

Agreed. I'm only saying that it would be nice to beat them when they are at their best.

I believe that many of us have misunderstood the new rule changes to mean that aerodynamics are not important any more. In reality, aerodynamics continue to play a very important role, as will the tyres, and whoever had the edge in this domain previously, will continue enjoying an advantage.

RBR won the championships not because Ferrari had an unreliable engine that was breaking every other race, but because they simply did a better job overall.

only when he completes his longer run without any issue will allow the team to gain confidence in reliability

10:29 Alonso has lodged a couple of very slow laps. A 2m11.413s and a 2m03.277s. Presumably nothing wrong as he's stayed out, but part of the programme.
10:33 Gutierrez pits in as Alonso continues to circulate at well over two minutes a lap.
By SkyNews:A sequence of very slow laps for Alonso in recent minutes - over two minutes apiece - according to the timing screens, suggesting Ferrari are assessing/testing something very specific on the F14 T.

    Safety car simulation most likely.

Really impressive pace from Alonso - only a second slower than 2013 race pace.

Bad engine or bad aero... both mean, that someone has not done a good job. It doesn't matter which part of the car is bad. As you say, what counts is the whole package.

I am not sorry for them at all. They were not sorry for us either.

I only said that I'm "not enjoying" seeing them break, but I certainly don't feel sorry for them either

Agree, the whole package will do,but in all honesty we must say that unless we rise to the level of aerodynamics of RBR when the end of the season comes we will loose the WCC and WDC anyway.Aerodynamics is still the most important feature in the cars performance as Allison said, and when the teams will have sorted the most reliability concerns(by half of the season i imagine),the it will come most to aero again,so unless we raise our performance we are doomed anyway,we cannot hide behind the better powertrain package, this is something that we have done in the past and in the end we paid for it.

and if our engine is more reliable and our aero is so efficient that gives much downforce without forgetting the cooling of the engine ... who did a better job overall?

When Ros brought the red flag,he was on a race simulation so Mercedes seem to have the confidence of trying one..
Common Ferrari show them that we can do it without any issue
