skysports:
Just twelve laps from Ferrari. No word from the Scuderia to explain their relative lack of running - and no sign, either, with the ever-present screens going up to ward off all our prying eyes !!!!
FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!
maybe they're bolting new updates at last...
F1 show biz 2016 :
Toto - "Ferrari are a real threat" .... Nico - "Awesome, everything is just awesome" .....Lulu - "Mental strength man, lifestyle man, I'll drive at 400% as ever man".... and then suddenly a wild Bull out of nowhere slams into a Ferrari.
Maybe we gonna test some upgrades that we brought ?? Preparing for Race simulation and such ?
any news please..??
why are we still in the garage..
I Will End My Career At Ferrari...
I wonder what reliability issues we got that Ted mentions. He think we are ahead of Mclaren, he must know something.Originally Posted by Ted kravitz

Hmmm new nose?“We are expecting to see the latest aerodynamic parts for Australia, but they haven’t appeared on the cars yet. I have only seen small bits here and there. But we are hearing talk of a new nose at Ferrari, a tweak on the front of the Mercedes, the kitchen sink being thrown at the Red Bull and changes to the others as well. They will be very low in terms of the number of parts they have so they will probably only put them on the final two days.”
Ted from Skysports opinion on testing so far.
Ted Kravitz has been telling the Sky Sports News viewers just how crucial these final four days of pre-season testing are for the teams:
“We are talking about the biggest rule changes in living memory in F1 and this is really the teams’ last chance to get their acts together before the first race. By the time they leave the Bahrain test on Sunday they will know if they are in for a brilliant season or a season where they will be climbing up several mountains and trying to get on top of some reliability and some performance. So this is an absolutely crucial four days to find some reliability or performance or in the case of World Champions Red Bull, both!”
As for the potential pecking order…
“Mercedes certainly seem to have the pace, but do they have the reliability? Even they are saying ‘we are not as reliable as we would have hoped.’ So at the front we are looking at Mercedes looking the strongest – I don’t think there is any doubt about that – and at the back we have the Marussia. It is really a sign of how serious the teams are starting to get that we are starting to need our ear protectors as they turn up the power on both the electric and petrol motors.
“Ferrari need to find a little bit of reliability, but they need to find a little bit of pace as well. They don’t really know where they are, they can see where Mercedes are and they think once they start turning everything up to ten or 11 that they will be there or there about. I think we are looking at Mercedes, then Ferrari and then McLaren.
“McLaren need to prove that their good lap times at the second test were representative and they think they are actually ahead of Ferrari – we will see by the end of the week.”
Ted is also not expecting to see any major upgrades on the cars until the weekend:
“We are expecting to see the latest aerodynamic parts for Australia, but they haven’t appeared on the cars yet. I have only seen small bits here and there. But we are hearing talk of a new nose at Ferrari, a tweak on the front of the Mercedes, the kitchen sink being thrown at the Red Bull and changes to the others as well. Look at that complex front wing compared to our F14T
"If I was driving for Red Bull [from 2008] probably I would have more championships, but because they were dominating between 2010 and 2014 probably I would never have driven for Ferrari. I am very happy and very proud to drive for Ferrari, all my time there.
Have we come out yet with the new updates?
It seems many people from media believe that Ferrari is doing or can do better than we see, the fans are wondering while the media is quite positive about our performance .Originally Posted by Pete Gill

Wonder what's going on in Ferrari's garage. Not another telemetry problem I hope
ye right thats why redbull have been so slow over the last 5 years and we have been so fast? Look at the difference in wings, ours CONTINUE to be primative I just dont understand what on earth we are doing. The front of the car is most important where all the airflow starts.
I don't know for sure, but maybe the kind of rear wing they are running , its enough for running similar front end downforce. Maybe it has to do with the nose ferrari are running creating a low pressure underneath it which is aiding a part of the front wing's stability , or maybe its the front end pull rod supension , the kind of wake they are angled at.

Well, people laughed at RB and there we go. 12 laps. Fascinating...![]()
IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT - ENZO FERRARI
If Mercedes 75 BHP advantage is true, IMO FIA will investigate the situation and if it was necessary FIA will give Renault or Ferrari the extra time to catch up.

No aerodynamic advantage, no reliability, no horse power; so ?
Disappointing; 2009 to 2016...

As reported by Ted Kravitz earlier, there's plenty of chat in the paddock that Ferrari might debut a new nose this week. That potential update was hinted at by Scuderia Technical Director James Allison when he addressed the press at Jerez:
"There is not too much similarity between the cars and the reason for that is that the nose rules allow quite a lot of geometrical freedom and there isn't a single solution to what isn't actually that sensitive an area. So there are a lot of solutions that do work.
"The team I was working with before have quite an aggressive solution and we have a different solution.
"We have looked at dozens and dozens of noses of all shapes and size and like any other part of the car it is free for us to develop and we will keep looking at it."
Could they take a very close look at a new design before the weekend is up?
