I've done a quick comparison between Kimi and Hulk based on their 1st 30 laps of their race simulations carried out today.

    Hulk: M, S, S
    Kimi: S, M, M

    Time totals after 30 laps:

    Hulk: 51:45
    Kimi: 51:48

"The supersoft is around 0.7sec/lap faster than the soft, the soft is around 1.2sec/lap faster than the medium and the medium is around 1.3sec/lap faster than the hard."

    http://www.pirelli.com/tyre/ww/en/ne...4/02/22/14084/

    So F1 2014 is still 2-3 seconds slower than F1 2013.

Raikkonen sets personal bests through the first two sectors, but the lap falls away a little bit towards the end and he crosses the line just one hundredth of a second down on his best.

That's what we call sandbagging. Though I'm sure there are some crazies about to jump off the ledge. Over a testing lap.

Don't worry, there is still a plenty of pace left in that car.

Kimi needs to have had at least 50 kg of fuel more than Massa in his tank if it was just the fuel load making the difference.
Otherwise it would mean that the Williams is the faster car.

If the Marussia can do a 1:37.087 on soft tyres, there's no way Kimi's 1:35.487 on supersoft was even close to a qualifying simulation.

So the rumours were possibily true then about a senior figure at Ferrari baffled by the Mercedes engine pace?

Early impressions are that we might be the 3rd to 5th fastest team behind Mercedes, Williams, McLaren and possibily even Force India. We better hope we have been sandbagging or that there is still a lot more potential to be unleashed from our car - it's just a question of finding some! Tomorrow's times with Alonso will be more conclusive but it really doesn't look that good. And once Renault overcome their issues expect the Renault powered teams to make significant improvements later on this season.

I am with you , there is no way Kimi is on qualy run ,same goes for Rosberg , he is holding some pace ,i am pretty sure he can do a 1:32 .same for ferrari .For me , it s sure that a fight between ferrari and mercedes for this year...with maybe a return for redbull after the first 5 or 6 races.
