No it won't. The rear crash structure acts as deflector. Also with exhaust plume expnding, cause low pressure under rear wing> creates upwash>induces more velocity of flow therbey causing even more lower pressure meaning downforce.

hopefully we'll be quoting from Metallica's song come Australia, that is "nothing else matters"....and not the song we've been quoting and singing for the past few years....SAD BUT TRUE....
So the SF-24 has been a decent car. Lets hope that the totally redesigned from the ground up SF-25 contender will be a beast that will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Call me crazy but i have hope this year, we have already seen a diif in the way we carry out our aero programme. I think we have seen the worst in prev years . Things will only get better as we go into the season. So far Ferrari conservative, cautious but confident. I like it.

and as far as lot of people considering this a repeat of 2011. I am not so sure because that year after Silverstone Fernando gave an interview and said that they were putting bits and aero packages on the car from Mid-Feburary till April which were working in the wind-tunnel and on the track they were negative, so basically we ended with a car in April that was slower than the Launch Spec Feburary car so Ferrari's pace during testing was genuinely closer to McLaren(RBR was unbeatable) it was just that we weren't able to develop the car like McLaren had done so were the 3rd best team ! So a fundamentally flawed wind-tunnel coupled with less man-power and fewer guru's ..A lot has changed and thankfully we have James and others now PLUS TED said Mercedes car is overweight by a few KGs, so all isn't well with them aswell..and we all know of the fizzy drinks company

I dont know if u are referring to rear wing end plate, den no we are running new one, if it the lack of gurney flap we saw earlier, its been placed back. We were probably tryin to understand the flow structure modified by T wing, at the back without the gurney flap hack

Wading through these pages of doom and gloom is making me want to abandon all hope.....only Felipe's times make me smile. Seriously, heaven only knows where we'll be in Melbourne but I hope to God we won't still be sand-bagging and can at least be competitive and reliable, the rest is pure speculation, except perhaps the power of the Merc engine, which does seem worrying. We have the best drivers, Ferrari can put us out of our misery, surely?

I think we are the 4th best team right now. Anyone who thinks otherwise, in my opinion is dreaming and will get a rude awakening come Australia. But hey 4th best isn't that bad, it's a place to start, look at red bull and lotus. Something tells me it will not be a renault world champion this year.

He deserves a good car not the greatest but just a good car to fight for WC...if it isn t the case , i am worry that we will loose him at the end of the year. This is the last chance from dominicali-montezemolo-fry-tombazi...if we are the 4-5 best team it will be a big big disapointment because we are Ferrari. If i heard that Dominicali say we need to work blabla at melbourne ,we absolute need to fire him, fry, tombazi give allison the control and try to bring some fresh men...i hope and i am sure that Fernando and Kimi will fight until the end of this year but Ferrari cannot do bad job again...because there is no more excuse about windtunnel,ect....if they do not deliver a good car , end of the road for them at ferrari

Thanks for the welcome. Hope you are right, but think you're wrong. I would be satisfied if we are just 1 second down on the leader. That being said, i hope we finish the race cause I can see that being enough to score points :D

As know one knows anything about fuel loads, test programmes per team and are making things up from the paranoid parts of their mind I am going to make something up making the same assumptions as them but on a positive side.

Raikkonen did a 35.4 on ss tyres fastest lap on last go after 8 or so laps so jad higher fuel compared to merc and williams. Ss tyre not for this track deg probably 3 tenths a lap so when time was set it was 2.4 seconds from optimum so time was really a 33 dead. Rosberg did a 33.4 on softs which are 7 tenths slower so he had 32.7 in him. Maybe Raikkonen did this lap on his 10th lap and so his real time was 32.4 so faster than merc or maybe the ers was not at full power.

No fact loads of assumptions like everyone else but by god it feels better than the also non factual stuff others are saying. If you can make stuff up and take liberties with assumptions at least make it positive

Q&A with Jenson Button : ""Q: So who do you fear most?
JB: You have to name Mercedes, because they are a big team. Then Williams have done very well over the winter. And never write off Red Bull. If they can put some laps together you can see their pace. ""
