Question: "Did you already get the maximum out of the car?"
Hamilton: ". No. There is still a lot to come. I have made two attempts on the super soft tires on Sunday The first attempt was not very good I have made a few mistakes...."

"The second attempt was just terrible. But thit's part of the game, when you want to know how to get the tires to work in the best way. Now I know how much grip is available and can adjust the car next time accordingly. "

Question: "How did the car feel on low fuel?"
Hamilton: "Who said that we had enough fuel on board? Well, it felt okay Better than with the other tires, the performance increases by a tire compound to the next, but with the super soft tires you win again a second... . A big leap. "

Its just my humble opinion but in the last years we have often fought for the championship with an half wind tunnel, obsolete organisation and an engine that was not able to use engine mappings like the Renault, nowaday we have a functioning state of the art windtunnel and a completely renewed dyno benchs,a much better organization with many top people and just because we cannot use fully the ers in the early part of the season, are we trowing the towel?
Im not saying that we will win or that we are good,i do not know myself, and i know that many of you are frustrated, myself too,but maybe we should wait a couple of races, shouldnt we?

I think during the course of the year, the title fight will be between ferrari and Merc and maybe redbull if their problems are sorted. The rest won't be able to keep up with the development. Not sure about mclaren though. I have a feeling we might have concentrated more on race than quali. So even after qualifying we might not know until we actually race, who has the most all round package. Given the past record, ferrari has been far superior compared to most teams. So lets hope it's the same this year.

yep very strange, this could be the best example for sandbagging. They know how much the aero package can improve their pace,so they put an old front wing, unknown tyres, make a time and add the improvement it could come from the new wing.
P.S. the rear wing is the new one.

I think it is not all so bad! With just little better fuel consumption than Mercedes we can win in Melbourne or at least bi on podium!

Even if we are not first come Melbourne it will still give me some satisfaction not to see Red Bull fighting for the win

But it is known that Alonso's best time was set on super soft compound. Why would it be sandbagging?

The unmarked tyres were the special pirelli hard compound, all team got some. So no conspiracy theories about Ferrari hiding st.

The soft, medium and hard compound tyres will all be available for the teams to use across the four day week in Bahrain, as well as the unmarked winter hard tyre seen in Jerez. Pirelli will also equip squads with an extra set of mediums tyres to allow them chance to test tyre performance without the use of warming aids, something that will no longer be allowed from 2015.

Why do they use a compound that will not be use in 2014?

We all have our opinions on where Ferrari stands compared to the rest but the reality is that we just don't know and no one can say for sure. We can come to all sorts of conclusions based on what we've seen throughout he tests yet we do not have all the info needed to get to an informed conclusion.

Some say we are slow compared to the top teams and some say otherwise, all I can say is......we will find out in 2 weeks time

Don't know. We even do not know even if the best Alonso's time was set with old FW. And as I said it is know he set his time on super softs.
