How else would they be able to produce a full grid?

What I fail to understand is how on earth was Renault able to miss the time schedule so badly.

I personally believe that the fairest Thing that FIA could do is to grant all engine suppliers two months extra without freezing, boy RedBull and Renault are starting to get ridicoulus like Laurel and Hardy blaming each other

“Ferrari is the big unknown. We spoke to Nico Rosberg yesterday and he said ‘we know where we are, we are comfortable with our reliability, we know where McLaren are as they share our Mercedes engine and we think we have the beating of them. Ferrari are the big unknown.’ At the moment it would be a surprise if Ferrari showed up to Australia and wiped the floor with Mercedes as they haven’t really shown much intent or ability to do that in testing. But I think we are looking at Ferrari maybe in second place and beating McLaren, but who knows they have a lot of resources and a lot clever people at Ferrari and they could be the real dark horse.

it is just a guess but as we know from last year they pushed the engine to the limit which ended in the discussion about traction control (--> Singapore ...)
Maybe they focused too much on those little tricks last year and therefore slacked to work for 2014 ...

as already told some postings above Renault was pushing also very hard for this new engine spec. And now they suddenly fail.... They are of course not much less clever than our guys or those from Merc. And despite the tight concept of the RedBull Car (and only Webber issues) it was a reliable engine since years ...
"If I was driving for Red Bull [from 2008] probably I would have more championships, but because they were dominating between 2010 and 2014 probably I would never have driven for Ferrari. I am very happy and very proud to drive for Ferrari, all my time there.

It would be stupid if they did. Renault had more than enough time to get their engine right for the deadline.

Let RBR buy Cosworth engines if the Renault ones don't work out for them.

Right ist their own fault, they had enough time and they attack and protest us all the time,we should let them die their own death.

Yeah! I thought that they would be very strong, since they've done quite few V6 turbos.. And I was afraid that Ferrari would be the underdog on that ground. But no. :)

Fernando Alonso got behind the wheel of the F14 T this morning to start working on car set-up, as well as running a tyre evaluation programme. The Spaniard used the Medium and Soft compounds, acquiring valuable data for the team, while also familiarising himself with the 2014 Pirelli rubbe - See more at: http://formula1.ferrari.com/news/set....rmJ01rKT.dpuf

If they can't drive a full race, or only on very very slow pace, there's no point so they will be allowed to change things. The problem is, what if after this change they suddenly are very fast, questions will be asked..
I don't think it would be good if every team is allowed to develop the engine extra

It's a very controversial thing to request, for two reasons - 1) these engine rules are effectively only in F1 because Renault wanted them and threatened to quit if they were not introduced; 2) the manufacturers have already had an extra year to develop the engines, after the initial date for the introduction of hybrid turbos was pushed back from 2013. Renault want an extra two months of development before specs are frozen, by the way. Contrary to what I wrote earlier, unanimity is needed for Renault's request to pass. Apologies for any confusion."
What bothers me is that if they are allowed to extend and redevelop, it will open up another can of worms. Red bull will automatically apply for permission to change their chassis to "suit" the new engine. How is it fair that each of the other teams worked hard for years on chassis and engine development, and these guys get a free pass for screwing up? If Mercedes end up being xHP faster, should we apply to re-do our engine too because we missed something? Bogus man

    end rant/ Forza Ferrari!

Possibly a new wing on top of the roll hoop under the camera pod. Maybe used to clear up the airflow to the RW or works some how in conjunction with the other camera pods?

Its not fair, but since when has RB been interested in fairness? Or Mercedes, for that matter....

    F1 show biz 2016 :
Toto - "Ferrari are a real threat" .... Nico - "Awesome, everything is just awesome" .....Lulu - "Mental strength man, lifestyle man, I'll drive at 400% as ever man".... and then suddenly a wild Bull out of nowhere slams into a Ferrari.
