I do consider that as a worry. They were bettering McLaren on the long runs. Even Button said they might even be the best at long runs out of everyone. Now they pulled a 2nd best lap out of everyone behind the Mercs who bettered this last weekend with supersofts and today is considered to be a windy day. Not to mention it's on softs, so 0,7 sec or so is still to come. Mercs seem to be flying.
Ever the optimist here, but this is worrying! A race sim yes...2 weeks before the grand prix....this is the real deal imo! and yh, strange how mercades cars are all up their!

Worse than Ferrari by a long way considering medium v soft is around a second. In 1st stint when both on softs difference is big and stints 2 and 3 on soft v Ferrari on medium and gap is not the second or so it should be.
Most important Ferrari need both cars to finish Australia as many cars may not Merc included.
Yes but I keep hearing from some people that we where behind RB and Mercs and is difficult to cutch them!!!
So for us is difficult and for all the others is quite simple!!!!
And when we are posting some good laps , the others are just hiding and when the others doing it the are just to fast for us !!!!!
FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!
Be it as it may. We're again in a position where we hope that we are sandbagging. It's been too many times like this and too many times it went the wrong way, so please understand my worries. Track side comments don't seem to be too encouraging as the car seems twitchy at the rear.
Let's just hope Ferrari wont repeat what happened for the past few years.
You can see a pattern emerging from all these series of tests carried out in Jerez and twice in Bahrain. The Mercedes powered cars are consistently up there at the top both on short and long runs. Since there are quite a few teams using the Mercedes engine they can't all be showing their hand or hiding their true pace? In other words they can't be setting all these fast times just by accident?
You would think by now that at this 3rd test we have improved the performance of the car so if that is the case Kimi's times should be representative. So either that is not the case and we still have a lot of room for improving the performance or we're actually not that good but just ok.
Looks like the soft tires were not very happy with a heavy car. But that is what Kimi would have to start on after Q3. Let's see if he finishes the race sim on softs.

Maybe the team wants to do a proper qualifying simulation in the last 30 minutes.

Difficult to make comparisons with Hulk's race simulation because his strategy was M-S-S while ours was S-M-M, but I don't think our laptimes were bad. It's a shame others weren't doing race simulations at the same time.
Looks like Mercedes going to do a quali simulation with SS tyres.

Disappointing; 2009 to 2016...
Did Kimi do a race sim?
