15:14 Just over 75 minutes left on the clock, which keeps ticking through red flag periods...
15:13 This is not only a setback for Ferrari, but it hampers the other 10 teams which are hoping to get some extra mileage in before the chequered flag drops
15:12 Marshals are quickly on the scene to assist with the recovery of the car
15:11 Red flags again. Alonso has stopped in the Ferrari
That could be it for Ferrari's preseason testing.
BUGGER.
sorry my bad![]()
Hell would have broken loose
I hope the team could quickly get the car going, at least set a qualifying lap before the day ends![]()
I am a lot more optimistic than last year, times are not important at this stage as teams are running different set ups and it is testing after all. The drivers are happy and all the telemetry is good and as Alonso said we will be at the front this season no doubt. That is a massive indication of moral in the camp!! we are going to kick butt this year!!
still got an hour left, still time to find, fix and get out again.
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
Does anyone know if Sauber has made it past the 100 laps (currently 91) during winter testing?
IIRC Sutil had another day where he did 100+ and led the lap total for that day
Forza Ferrari!!
Alonso back on track
alonso out..on track
13:34 Ferrari has got the F14 T back up and running in little more than half an hour, so Alonso heads back out to get some more laps in
It took us 24 minutes to be back and running....not bad at all.
Meanwhile, it either says something or just nothing that Alonso, Schumacher and Raikkonen have reputedly spared a F1 podium on five occasions and Fernando has stood on the top step on every occasion. He's F1's first among equals. (PG)
Alonso already back out. All you of little faith!!!!
Forza Ferrari!!
Given the amount of time we've spent in the pits this test, our reliability is not as solid as we would like.
Forza Ferrari
"And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it."
Lets go baby. Put it some good laps![]()
so i guess now we're gonna have 2 weeks of DOOM and GLOOM because Ferrari has not been able to match merc's or williams??
i'm still keen to find out what the drivers think of the F14T, but most of all we should be able to hear some statements coming from the team....i.e pat fry or james allison to give their opinions of teh car so far...NOT the media, they like to blow it out of proportion
So the SF-24 has been a decent car. Lets hope that the totally redesigned from the ground up SF-25 contender will be a beast that will give us tifosi something to smile about.
Wow, so the testing is just about over and Williams did not cause any red flag. Talking all winter about reliability will win the races/title this year, you have to see them really high. More so considering they did strengthen up their team massively and managed to get a hell of a sponsor (Martini if it's true), so money and in-season development won't probably be a problem for them anymore. Just wow.
IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT - ENZO FERRARI

This is really bad. We've yet to do a qualifying simulation because we were too busy trying to hide our hand and now it seems we won't have enough time to show everyone including ourselves what we're capable of. Why bother taking such risks - it really baffles me? If we attempt to do a qualifying simulation in Melbourne practice and something goes terribly wrong we'll be severely hampered. We have no data on qualifying simulation that we can work on in preparation for Melbourne.
Yes, it is just testing, but it is also TIMED AND MEASURED testing - lap times, sector times, number of laps, speed traps, problems and failures, soppages, etc. and this data is available to both engeneers and fans. And I did not see any clear cut advantage for our team based on this data. On the opposite side - a lot of advantages for Merc and Merc powered cars and on track experts unanimously convinced in Merc superiority and unanimously saying Ferrari is a "dark spot".
This is what we see amd hear and these concusions are by no means optimistic for us now that the so important tests are almost over.
Soft tires and I'm sure some extra fuel in the tank for Alonsos lap yet people still say we're slow. Were in the top 3 which is good enough. Especially when points are given on Sundays.
Forza Ferrari!!
