Don't think Formula 1 should let country politics influence their programme unless it's extreme or there are safety concerns hosting the event. Best to be neutral with these things otherwise it becomes very complicated.
F1 did not boycott Bahrain, and so I guess to be consistent, there's no precedent to boycott the Russians now (there was 1 year we did not go to Bahrain IIRC, but that was purely on safety issue. We went back after that).
Not that I am a fan on what's happened, but I have to agree that it's best F1 stay out of politics. We have to remember that we have many teams, drivers, etc from countries all over the world, including Russia. So I don't think it will be right, although I can understand the intentions.
past days? you should look into it a little more
Formula 1 should stay far away from politics,
no boycotts, no ribbons, no nothing.
if it is safe for the teams to go there, let them.
it's a sport, not an NGO
Life might be hard, Concrete is a lot harder
Yes, because if you want to find a reason, you will always find it
Unless it is dangerous then race should go ahead otherwise we would have very little F1 tracks if we only went to places without political problems.
Forza Ferrari
i guess sochi GP will be something like just ended Putin games were.. and expect unexpected things, like Marussia getting pole or something like this. btw last year there was DTM in Russia for the first time, they had to cancel qualfying for mr Putin http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/oth...ivate-jet.html

Well how happy would you be seeing Bianchi on pole and winning a race ? Putin Bianchi on the podium !
[QUOTE=brembo man;829481]he will be on pole and win a race, on his own time and probably because he has deserved it. i just hate when one man intervenes in every thing. and all countries that Russia has ever occupied probably feel the same - that they deserve everything that's coming in their way now

It depends on how the situation evolves. But at the current state of affairs I would say no to the Russian GP.
Maybe we should stick to the topic of whether the Russian GP will go ahead, and try to stay away from the main political issues as much as possible![]()

[QUOTE=brembo man;829510]can you blame me, those russians force me to speak their language in my conutry where official language is my language. i can be deeply annoyed by them! i do not need to chill out, because in any case Russia is a big threat to my country's independence aswell... you americans have no idea what it means to be occupied by those *******s

Boycott. My plan was to go there 2015, but if things doesn't change maybe Spain or Italy instead.

And that would've happend in my country too with out high prize(90.000 lives) my grand parents generation had to pay for our freedom.
Maybe I would too say things like, lets keep politics out of F1, if rebourn Hitler wouldn't live in my neightbour.
