This weekend it will be a taste of spring in southern Austria ... good days to spend outside and do some work in the garden ... where I will dig my hope that RB will have reliability issues and therefore has to catch up the missed races in the end ...

Overview of the Top long run times (without a hint which tire been used)
    Hamilton 1:33.6
    Rosberg 1:33.5
    Alonso 1:34.6
    Vettel 1:34.4
    Button 1:34.6
    Ricciardo 1:34.7
    Räikkönen 1:36.2
    Bottas 1:34.6
    Magnussen 1:35.5
    Hülkenberg 1:34.9
conclusion from live ticker of motorsport-total
One thing is clear: The pecking order is currently determined by the power unit, and since Mercedes sets the tone. At the back of the three cars with no time have all Renault power at the rear. Ferrari is likely somewhere in the middle.
"If I was driving for Red Bull [from 2008] probably I would have more championships, but because they were dominating between 2010 and 2014 probably I would never have driven for Ferrari. I am very happy and very proud to drive for Ferrari, all my time there.

For sure RBR had problems, but the way they are going now, there was a lot of drama, just trying to get an unfair advantage.

Live timing on F1.com is still free and the apps have never been free. If you don't like it, don't use it. It's as simple as that. There's no point taking over a thread complaining about it. You're changing nothing.

Interessante il lavoro svolto dalla Ferrari, provando strategie di gara alla ricerca del cosiddetto FUEL TARGET Cioè prestazione / consumo

NO, NO and NO!!! I was just asking! I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR THAT! Even on races I am not buying ticket on box office, but from the guys around the track . Way to cheaper

Yes but since this year they removed sector times from free application for PC! And that is GREEDY

Pretty good day, on paper it looks like we are behind Merc. Vettel I don't know what to think, even if he is faster, can he finish the race?.

I hate how on Sky Sports they only mention Ferrari when they want to say something negative. But when it comes to Merc, Williams, RB or any other team then they're full of praise and saying how well everything's going...pathetic biased bunch! I think I'm gonna have to mute the sound from now on, cause I really can't stand their pathetic biased opinions.

Said it weeks ago ... this Dr. Marko thing is one of the worst and perfidious guys you can meet.
The first day when he is saying something which comes close to truth and honest is when he is lying in a wooden box ... Devil will have fun then

We pay £40 a month (£480) the to be able to watch F1 here.

It's annoying they removed it but paying £9.99 per YEAR (83p a month) for an app is hardly a big cost, is it?

I think you both need to be realistic.

But Ferrari's Stefano Domenicali suggests some teams "were hiding" today and the pecking order might look different again tomorrow. #F1

We don't know what were the fuel loads of each car. No way we are behind Renault on the engine front.

Anyone here who is familiar with Monty Python and the Holy Grail?
there is the scene where the knights are lying in the grass and they are discussing about what happens next with the Trojan Horse when occupied by the french ...
And when one say: and when it gets dark we're getting out of our hideout and overpower the French. And John Cleese says (in German Translation): 'Oh boy I feel sick I think I need to puke'

That scene comes in mind by reading this statement from Domenicali (which now can be taken from any year since 2009)
Stefano Domenicali: "We are not still on top of the things we need to solve, which shows the complexity of this project" #f1

I don't mind the loss of sector times, it seemed most (many) of last years races were shown on a time delay in the US on NBC, so if I went to the F1 site for live timing it spoiled the race for me! Learned that early on & just quit going on the computer or opening any apps til after I watched the race

I don't like paying for iphone apps, so I just don't! If there was something I HAD to have I would pay a modest amount, otherwise I don't need my phone to have all these magical abilities.

Besides, it makes the race seem so much shorter to me when I'm trying to watch on TV & live timing on my computer, so I'm happy to keep it to just TV.

Seems to me that we're not looking too bad so far, fuel situation will be our biggest headache along with reliability, but this won't be be F1 as we knew it.. Weather could change everything too, but let's be positive. Charging for live timing is outrageous, we all already pay enough for Sky coverage, are the FIA/FOM trying to get rid of true F1 fans as well as the casual observer? It makes my blood boil, but I'll still try to afford and enjoy it. Back to bed now.

Always worth trying to find somebody with a Sky sub who doesn't 'do' mobile and will let you use or 'rent' their SkyGo allocation..

    Couldn't agree more mate.

I would love nothing more than to see Ferrari smashing everyone and making that arrogant Crofty cry.

I think fuel & reliability MAY make this a race of attrition. All well & good to be leading by a lap if you run out of fuel. Equally, a car running mid-field might achieve a podium if others break down of have to slow with fuel issues..
