As far as the Alonso/Massa incident is concerned, to me that are just things that happen at starts. Nobody wants it, but they all look for that gap that sometimes turns out not to be there. They are racers.
So to me nothing special, and nobody to blame.

I agree, but looks as if Massa had a different idea about whom to blame.

Yes of course.......you feel a bang and the first thing you think: someone hit me! (you never think: I hit someone when you are a racingdriver )

Yeah, Lewis wasn't hallucinating. I thought at first he was joking, but the announcers saw it as well.

Funny, I have seen some Red Bull fans claim it robbed Ricciardio of the position. They could still be running and he wasn't getting past Alonso.

Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.

Looks to me like Ric and Alonso raced till lap 56 anyway so it wouldn't have made any difference. Wonder what they saw that suggest the drivers wasn't racing anymore, lol

Podium..Glad for that...Still cant see why we cannot get 2 cars running at the same level, but thats the way it is right now.
We def needed a good showing. Good job by the team, lets move it up another notch.

The right side is the racing (preferred) line off the start because the speed is a lot lower than a normal lap. Going deep into turn one and going the long way round i.e. the left side means being hung out to dry. Don't pretend to not understand.

Yeah now we get to see "The Haircut".

Great gains shown by the team; cautiously optimistic about the European leg but very hopeful we can sustain the improvement. Improvement in traction and downforce should be good for Catalunya but tyre performance--as usual--is the wildcard.

One of the most satisfying things is hearing 'Sebastian let Daniel overtake' messages. Great stuff. So much for the best driver ever. Bit ridiculous really, but he never was dominant over a teammate till the exhaust blowing gizmo was un and running. Remember him asking for a new chassis after he was flogged by webbo in Monaco 2010. No disrespect to Dan, but he hasn't been toweling up his previous teammates. If he can do this then what would Alonso or Hamilton be doing to him.

Nice shot Nando, little "shocker" for the cameraman, love those behind the scenes glimpses!
EDIT: Just noticed it was on live broadcast as well, no chance for anyone to edit it out!

Nice job & good work by the whole team, I just want to say thank you as well to Stefano Domenicalli since initiatives started under his direction were likely what gave the gains we saw today (just a little sad to see him go I guess! ).

Anyhow a great drive by Alonso & still some work to do to get Kimi on pace, but that will come soon, can't believe reporter's are even questioning his lack of "motivation" as the cause for finishing behind Alonso, ridiculous! A statistic some may have missed... Fernando improved 2 places over his grid position & Kimi improved 3 places over his grid position, so I am happy with both of our driver's performances!

I think Ferrari will be making steady gains, the only question is how much & how those gains compare to the other teams.

The race has brightened my outlook for the rest of this season & I hope Marco adds an improved focus & does everything he can to better the chances for the team to succeed.

    Doesnt he always! lol..

In all fairness, he was just trying a brave move and it didnt pan out. The likes of FA, SV, LH dont scare easily and he got the short end of the stick. Happens in racing!

Seems the Williams team have built themselves a very strong car. If you see the Bottas-Rosberg incident, the impact was even stronger and the car just kept going. Kudos!

As to Alonso-massa incident, i just feel Felipe tried a brave move; perhaps knowing how Nandos mind functions, ie., he will go for the averages and would rather concede position than risk taking the car out... and thought Nando would yield. Didnt happen and he suffered for it.

I don't think Fernando even knew Felipe was there until he felt it....A bit reckless of Felipe maybe and lucky for both of them to be able to continue, likewise Bottas and Rosberg, pity Rosberg was able to come back and take 2nd, though.

Well for sure that could have been a disaster. My two favorite drivers " along with Bianchi" [ Hi Katu!] could have been wiped out of the race. I would have had to settel for watching Vettel crying while trying to catch his teamate. I still am in shock RB is letting that happen!

Likewise. Seems RedBull got bored of their lil german toy. Always looks a lot better in history books, when a team produces many world champions.

    It is interesting isn’t it!

Which has led me to conjure conspiracy theories: perhaps RB know Vettel is going to Ferrari (God forbid!) next year, hence the tables have turned at RB as Ricciardo becomes their new number 1.

It will be a huge dilemma for Vettel. On one hand you have a Ferrari drive, while on the other, your team mate is a certain Fernando Alonso, Vettel's legacy at a big risk.

I don't see any sense in that. Red Bull is not wedded to any particular driver, their aim is to produce the fastest car within current regulation, and win the championship. Ultimately the driver's own ability will determine which of the team mate is ahead. The team don't get to decide who is the faster driver.

Ric is currently ahead because he's doing better than Vettel with the current car's characteristic determined by the regulations. Maybe Ric is simply more skillful than Vettel, maybe he adapted faster, or his driving style simply fit the current regulations.

And if Ric is proven to be the faster driver currently, regardless of the reason why, Red Bull will have to back him for their championship charge.
