    From Autosport -

09:02 Here's what EDD STRAW has made of the Red Bull and Ferrari performance through Turn 3 on more recent runs:

"Unsurprisingly, the Red Bull looks superb through here. The car rolls off the left lock out of T2 and turns into T3 in one move and carries good speed. The RB10 looks like it could take just about any line the drivers want.

"Alonso is struggling a bit more as the tyres go away. He's had a big wobble through Turn 2 and the car is moving around a bit in Turn 3. Controllable, but not the quickest."

Mercedes are VERY strong here. Untouchable. Easily a second ahead of the next runners.

Not sure if the speed trap has changed now but we were 20kph slower than Force India earlier.

More from BEN ANDERSON on what he saw at Turn 3 during those first runs: "Alonso is hustling the Ferrari through here. The Ferrari looks solid but is requiring a few small corrections in the later phase of the corner.

"Unsurprisingly the Red Bull looks smothered in grip. We reckon the ranking in terms of Turn 3 performance is Red Bull, Mercedes, then Ferrari. Lotus also looks decent.

Does sounds like traction problem under acceleration out of corners, which is usually related to the engine, or PU for this year.

Wasn't that the problem with the old chassis ?

    F1 show biz 2016 :
Toto - "Ferrari are a real threat" .... Nico - "Awesome, everything is just awesome" .....Lulu - "Mental strength man, lifestyle man, I'll drive at 400% as ever man".... and then suddenly a wild Bull out of nowhere slams into a Ferrari.

It looked more stable in China though, hence I thought we may have managed to improve the PU.

Somehow in FP1 the car looks like it's back to Bahrain characteristic

I think we're looking good. Great to see Fernando moving the car around so confidently. He seemed to be throwing and controlling the car as opposed to losing it and catching it. That's a good sign. Will be interesting to see what update configs both cars run this afternoon.

It seems to me that good news is that we got rid of Force India, Williams and McLaren but bad news is that on this track RB seems 2nd best team...

What causes the poor traction and why have we had poor traction for at least the last 2 years?

Bad engine power delivery to the rear wheels can be one factor.
    KEEP CALM AND LOVE FERRARI
