Don't kid yourself. Imagine how dangerous and useless a tractor would be with such poor power delivery

Looks like our best achievement this year would be to keep our top drivers because given their age I'd imagine they would want to spend their final years actually fighting for anything other than Q3

Monaco in 2 weeks time would be a proper nightmare. Kimi and Fernando would have drive out of their skins to ensure the car does not end up in the wall.

Actually what is BIG progress between last and this race? Now it is 2 sec gap in Q!

Oh well yet another depressing weekend it seems. Good thing is that I am getting used to this, so each day I care less...

Although I'm very disappointed as far as how qualifying went, I think our race pace isn't too bad
compared to RB. So a podium might still be in reach.

It's shocking indeed how team like Lotus can improve their car while we can not. Mr. Mattiacci will have to sack and hire many people to turn things around. He should start with Tombazis and Marmorini in my humble opinion.

The only positive thing about this WE so far is that Kimi seems to be feeling better in his car. Hopefully Alonso can have a great start, as only he can. Anyway it is sad to see two WC not be able to fight for the first position...

Yes, exactly. I too can accept that we're not winning, fine, so be it, I'll support and love Ferrari whether we win or lose, but what is the most frustrating thing for me is that we can't seem to make any progress whatsoever. Everybody else, well except Mclaren, can improve during the season, even Lotus with their small budget can. But we take one step forward in one race, and then two steps back again in the next race, I just don't get it. We have the financial means to be successful and some of the best technical minds at our service in the team, and yet we're always standing still in terms of development and have been in this same situation since like 2011. Why?! I could understand if one season is like this or even two, that's normal in motorsport, but to be in this miserable state for so long without being able to make even some visible progress is just beyond reasonable comprehension. We managed to make a step forward in China, that was great, but now, three weeks later we're basically back where we were before China...how is that even possible? How can a team with so much experience and strong financial backing stay in such a low point season after season after season? It's really a mystery. How can we not sort things out and get better? And I don't even mean start winning or dominating, all I would want is for us to be able to make at least some reasonable progress and get better step by step...is that too much to ask? I don't think so. But right now we can't seem to be able to do even that.

Oh well, all we can do is hope and pray that someday (hopefully soon) we can sort these fundamental problems out once and for all, and manage to stop this regressive trend and start showing some steady positive progress. "After every storm comes sunshine"...this has to be true in our team's case as well, or at least I really-really hope so.

spot on mate, i know alot of Mclaren and sorry to say RBR fans. The Mclaren fans i havent seen them or heard them bash the team or given up hope. If anything they even more come together and support them.

It just seems alot of "fans" here, come here and cannt find anything to support, just bash and say its all over. It well maybe, but im not giving up hope, i will support them ALL 150% no matter what. So what it may takes another year for a win, when it comes be amazing.

Yes we Ferrari, and should be winning and dominating, but so should Mclaren, they just as big race winners and WDC WCC winners as us.

I also have some McLaren fans. They stopped watching F1 last year... Is that better then what is happening here? Even on F1 forums, when McLaren or RBR is not doing well, you don't see their fans anywhere. But when they are winning oh dear, there's full forums of them. That's not being fan or caring for the team.

And I envy you the ability to keep hope up for so long. I tired that, but it made the feelings of losing even more painfull.

If they turn off, not interested in F1 because their team isnt winning, that is not a true fan , sorry. Just glory hunters.

End of day, im Ferrari through and through, from F1 to local GT racing, WEC, as long as there Ferrari there racing, i will watch and support them. We will win, we been caught napping bit with the compressor shaft, but as soon as we unlock that performance we be there (our engine layout the same as Mercs)

KR said in interview for Finnish MTV3 that the car is difficult and lacks grip everywhere. This is because of fundamental design of the car and that is something that cannot be corrected by just setup changes.

That's what I'm trying to say.

We here (mostly) are fans. And as those we have different ways of handeling it. I don't, for example, get your almost blind optimism (not meaning it as a bad thing), because as I see it, we didn't have the compressor problem in previous years. But we weren't on top either. And it kinda drives me crazy to be reading this stuff all the time.

The same goes for the other side. You are for sure tired of the "moaning". But if there would not be those comments, it would turn out as I wrote in my previous post with RBR and McLaren. It would be empty here. So I guess we will have to accept it and "suffer" our time, before we will rise on top again.

Hey Rob, enlighten me. Am I a "glory hunter" if I turn off F1 after half the season is done? I do this for the past few years. I simply can't stand looking at Ferrari when it's doing poorly. I don't mind it for the first part of the season, cos I am an optimist... but when I see that there is no hope I just turn my back on a team. Yet I always come back next year and start following Ferrari when they unveil their new F1 car. It's the pattern I follow for many years now, maybe since 2004... Yeah, 2004 was the last year I watched every single race.

That has been my feeling. Even as Ferrari improve the PU and the aero, the basic chassis/concept of the car is lacking.

For the past few years, it seems that the suspension does not generate enough mechanical grip. Same thing this year. That lack of mechanical grip makes the twitchiness caused by the PU even worse. Even if the PU were perfect, the basic platform is not stable. It is only driver skill that has produced results, in spite of the cars behavior.

Not blind, my religion is Ferrari. It hurts me, and i take it very persnal when we loose or are doing bad, but i know what we went through in the 80s, early 90s. Alot of "fans" been spoilt by the Schumacher glory years, and expect that every race, year.

I just dont see how moaning and swearing and venting anger, bashing the design teams all the time, as it will not change anything. It just makes be more dedicated to supporting my team, in this hard times.

Maybe, just me, but i never turn my back and give up hope. As tomorrow is a new day.

Sorry if i insult you somehow, but i sleep, eat breath all Ferrari, i never turn off or turn my back on the team. As that is giving up on them. Do that, in my eyes, dont support them. Merc are winning, easy to support a winning team.

That isnt aimed at you, or anyone, just how I feel.

In summary during Alonsos 4 years he has had the 2nd best car, so not really sure why he would be jumping ship - no guarantee he will be in a better position with a new team!

If you turn your back on Ferrari when they're struggling and need support the most then you're not a true fan. I don't mean to insult you, but that's just how it is and you should know it yourself as well.

The bold part, you are seriously blowing it out of proportions here. We just want to be competitive. To fight for wins. Even if it would mean to lose doing that.

As I said. People are different. I am a die hard fan of all Ferrari related but right now, people working for Ferrari are hurting it. And I'm not fine with that.
We expect the best from our drivers. And so do I expect the best from our engineers. So far, we are not getting it.

I think it would be time for joint venture

Wrong. He was the 2nd best, but not with the 2nd best car. He massively gained from the mistakes of others and from him being genius. There was no season where we had the 2nd best car overall. Probably maybe 2010 but that's it.
