I am not a safety expert, but you cant have tyre walls on every inch of the track. On some parts a guard rail is more effective than a tyre wall.

Waste of a whole hour...pathetic. Those barriers can take several impacts without a sweat.

I'm just glad they stopped the race straight away and we did not waste any laps behind the safety car

Can you imagine if someone hit that same barrier and died and the legal action against them, the barrier was not at its optimum because it already took a heavy shunt. As your well aware the FIA will not compromise on safety even if the barrier is 90%. They want them 100%

Yes horrible horrible crash glad to hear so far that Kimi OK. What horrid luck he has had. And Massa I agree great reactions. Feel sorry for the Kimi fans that have paid a lot of money to be there to see no more action - luck of drawer I guess. My daughter is there and still cheering on the reds or red in this case now. What a miserable season this has been, unbelievable. Everything that can go wrong, goes wrong.

I just wonder when will things start going our way again? *sigh*

Anyone seen Webber at the track? If so biebeer must DNF in order to maintain the jinx haha.

Btw our car is unbalanced, Kimi spun also more then enough at Canada and what did they said? Never gonna happen again due to setup changes. Yet he spun again and now drifting any wobbeling again so our car is just... I don't know.

I am watching race at SKY Germany, I can understand German to the extend but not to a full. There were talking about false FA start!

I'm torn between watching the race on Sky or BBC. Sky have Brundle but BBC have Coulthard who gives a better perspetive

Maybe he deliberately slowed down to show stewards that he didnt gain any position advantage.

Is it a start behind the safety car? Standing start would have been more exciting

come on, people saying its a joke for delay repairing the barriers? safety is there for everyone. Imagine car going into the hole and having horrible head injury, or hurting/killing driver/spectators.

Come on people, think about it. Bit of common sense goes along way.
