Yeah we need someone like ross brawn to find some loopholes to bring us back to the top again. Lately we are lacking in that department. It would be nice for him get back at merc for what they did to him.

Fair enough, that's your opinion. I personally keep my liking/disliking away from what I see on track, I have utmost respect for Lewis the driver & I also believe that if both him & Nico share same amount of luck, Lewis will come out on top.

We don't have Ross Brawn and might never have him again. What the team needs is good, sensible and proactive strategists.

    Raikkonen calls for Ferrari changes

Kimi Raikkonen has urged Ferrari to cure their "weaknesses in the system" after a qualifying gaffe left him fighting an uphill battle in Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix.

With a time on the board and Raikkonen sitting in his car in the garage, three times the Finn asked whether he was safe, and three times he was urged not to worry.

Whatever or whoever the source of the information, it proved unreliable as Ferrari academy driver Jules Bianchi in his Marussia bumped Raikkonen down to 17th at the death and out of qualifying.

Raikkonen was naturally unhappy and, although avoiding losing his temper, has urged Ferrari to clean up their act and help him through what has so far been a troubled return.

Raikkonen said: "The plan was to go out, but the team said 'no, you are fine, you do not need to go out'.

"I questioned it a few times, but they said no need, and we can see the end result.

"What happened is not good for me or the team, and although it has been a difficult year I don't see the point to shout. The mistake is done.

"I've made mistakes in the past, I will make them in the future, and people do make mistakes, but there are things we have to change to improve.

"As a team in Formula One, as Ferrari, we should not be doing these kind of things. None of us are in our first year."

Raikkonen conceded he could have over-ruled the team and insisted on returning to the track, but at the end of the day he relied on the advice afforded him.

"I trust in the team, believe in the people," added Raikkonen.

"I questioned it, but I cannot always go against advice. We are here as a team, make decisions as a team, and today the outcome was this.

"Obviously we have to improve, to do things differently because we can see there are weaknesses in the system."

Since returning to the team, Raikkonen has so far played a bit-part role as he been heavily out-qualified by team-mate Fernando Alonso and finished behind the Spaniard in all 10 races.

The 34-year-old maintains, however, that despite his problems, what is occurring has no bearing on his future.

"It will not influence my decision," said Raikkonen.

"I've a contract, I fully believe in Ferrari, I've enjoyed a lot of wins and success with them.

"It's been a difficult year, which is life. It's not fun when you have hard times, it's happened before and that's how it goes.

"We try to improve things, try to make things better all the time, make less mistakes, get the car where I want it to be to be fast again.

"I've not suddenly over the winter lost a few seconds lap time, so it's the case of putting things in the right places for me.

"Unfortunately we haven't managed to do it now and then, we are still fighting against things a lot, and the results show.

"If it were easier, as sometimes it goes, then we would be laughing, but that was not the case today, and has not been the case this year.

"As I say, I trust in the team, but there have to be changes and improvements, which can only happen if we work as a team, as a group, as Ferrari."

Im watching Q now, as nbc sports decided to show bicycles this am.
Showed Kimi sitting in the car as Bianchi bested his time.
The words of Hobbs n Matchet..You cant do that..Dont know whats going on at
Ferrari (strategy) lately but you cant do that. Theres no time left.
And, Bianchi just tested for Ferrari and did well.

Not word for word, but u get my drift. I cant believe I read all this
we r improving and working hard, then see a bonehead call like this.
Unbelievable. They could hire anyone to make a call like that.
They could hire me, n yea, he wouldve been out there.

I know theres nothing to do about it..just wanted to get it out of my system.

These Ferrari press releases are delusional. At least Ferrari are taking the blame for keeping Kimi in the garage.

Pathetic! Marco, fire the sporting director immediately. And Kimi's race engineer for that sake.

Qualifying was on CNBC. They even ran a warning on the bottom line from 7:55-8:00 saying tune to CNBC. NBCS also shows every session live online. If you want you can watch every session all year live.

People make excuses for the ones they like while slamming the ones they already don't, its shameful.

That is literally the stupidest thing I've read in a long time.

If it wasn't for Fernando we would be struggling to have a car in Q3. Do you think the fake champion would do better than Kimi? Or Hamilton? HA.

Maybe he is Turini, lol. They both live in a strange parallel universe.

The starting grid position is arranged in such a way that even number is on one side of the track, and odd number is on the other side of the track. During racing, the cars only take one line known as the racing line, down the straight. So the starting side that is on or near the racing line is cleaner than the other side, as there is more rubber on the racing line, and the dust and rubber bits are pushed to the side (the dirty side).

Usually, the even number is on the clean side of the track, the side where the racing line is. So P5, an even number, is on the clean side.

This of course is assuming that there is no heavy rain before race day. Heavy rain will wash away any rubber on the racing line and it will be more neutral if it rains.

Why so much hatred towards a driver outperforming the car's capability? You appear to be an ALO hater.

2015 is make or break for us. We can change 90% of the engine, get our car in order - pull rod, push rod or just whatever rods they wanna go with. Ferrari better come up with a championship challenger next year. Its hard to see our drivers struggle for want of a better & faster car.

Vecchiasignora - typical, blamealonso for Kimi qualy mess. Imagine where we would be without him. Don't forget Kimi has 0 points based on the previous points system!
