Do TSN users stumble across fellow members at races?

    Or is it just me?

Aside from specific TSN meet-ups, I've somehow fallen over two or three other members I'd never met before without prior arrangement.

I'd love to know if you've been spotted at races by fellow members or if you've arranged to meet up with any.

Here's what happened at the Italian GP this year...

On the Thursday, myself and Mrs.Alonso were headed up to the circuit to stalk some drivers when at the Milan Central Station, we were approached by another random, British Ferrari fan. It was his first Grand Prix and wanted some help getting to the circuit (not sure why I looked like I knew what I was doing but there you have it!). We started talking and told him to come with us. I said if he wanted to meet drivers and team people that he should come with us.

After about 15 minutes of getting to know each other, how long we'd supported Ferrari, which drivers were our favourites etc, I realised I hadn't asked him his name - huge fail on my part. His name was Tony. After telling him my name was Ste, he said:

"I think I know who you are!"

I wasn't sure how of course, but I thought it must be through Twitter or something - then I remembered TSN. Tony reminded me that back in July, he had asked for advice on the forum about going to the Italian Grand Prix and it was me who had told him what I knew. I'd completely forgotten about it.

I'm not sure what the chances of that happening were but I imagine they were very slim. Not too many F1 fans are at the Central Station at that time, however, for him to be there at the same moment, in the same place and to pick us out as the two people to speak to - and then to find out we had already spoken months ago, seems pretty implausible to me!

Long story short, Tony met a load of F1 drivers that day and got up even earlier the following day to guarantee meeting Alonso, Mattiacci and co - he succeeded. I'm sure he can tell you the rest...

Thanks for letting me play tour guide Tony, I loved it!

Fantastic story Ste Maybe I have seen TSN Members at races too but because it isn't written on their heads I don't know Would be a good idea for a thread maybe to see which TSN members go to which Grand Prix's with the possibility to meet each other?

    Awesome!

I didn't meet anyone from here (or at least I think) in Hungary. But hopefully we can arrange something for next year in Spain. Anyone going to Barca 2015?

Interviewer: “The helmet has a special meaning for many drivers. How important is it to you?”
    Kimi: “It protects my head.”
