Well Felipe's tires were older too I think?

Funny thing about the 2 Renault powered cars, was that they never seemed slow in a straight line and generally seemed suite racey. That's just the way I saw it and am wondering if anyone else felt the same. Could be that they just ran with much less downforce, hence being lapped.

By the way, a thanks to those who have taken the time to put on video clips, etc, like Allison's post race interview.

I don't have data but if i'm not mistaken it was 0.7 sec after first lap and 0.8 after 3rd lap. I remember that we're in DRS Zone before Safety Car deployment.

Vettel and Ferrari made a proper fool out of Merc and snatched the win and became the first driver to go toe to toe with Mercs and beat them fair and square
To all the people in Maranello every single one . Hats off to you Guys Thank you for all your hard work Just make this beautiful car even more powerful then we can be what we are in the past

Also what was strange is that both of the Torro Rosso's ended infront of the Red Bull's. What do you guys think about Verstappen? future Ferrari driver?

"The strategy was obviously ace, so big thanks to the guys. When they [Mercedes] pulled in, I think we were a bit surprised.

"We saw on Friday they weren't too happy on the medium compound, and Lewis [Hamilton] was struggling in the first stint so I was able to keep up, which I enjoyed a lot.

"Then I knew I had to deliver: try to make the tyres last as long as I can.

"The second stint, he was chasing me down which was tough. In the end I was able to rebalance the car a bit more and have a solid gap in the last couple of laps."

Race pace with both equal and same tyres seems to be .200 per lap behind merc for maybe first 5-6 laps. Our tyre deg was much better.
Hope Pirelli don't go conservative for the remainder of the year

Could it be that the hot temps helped us alot? I am fearing we can't show this kind of speed in China the next race.

China is usually cold. Pirelli will bring soft and medium compound. Hopefully we can work the soft tyre the way we worked the medium today in this heat.

That's the first race in while that i did not fast forward to end. Heart in mouth stuff for us Ferrari fans, and i did get misty eyed when i heard the German Italian anthem again on the podium for a Ferrari for the first time in 8 years. Hope MS is well enough to have watched and reacted to little Schumi, continuing the legacy. What was more pleasant than anything was the professional reaction from Mercedes. A damn sight better than the sour grapes Mclaren used to give in interviews in the late 90's when Ferrari began to ascend. On a rainy cold day, it feels like a tropical beach in my house after that race

    In finnish, translation:

    - Poor start. First lap was **** and after a few overtakes, surprisingly that one car punctured my rear tyre. Then a whole lap with a flat tyre.

    - Fortunately, the safety car came and it would have helped more, but the second Sauber for some reason didn't even try to catch the pack and we lost even more time.

    (About the overtakes)
    - Well, yeah, but those are not the purpose. The aim is of course to be successful and to make maximum performance, but now it was what we were able to after all problems.
