I'm sure he did or at least was aware of the win in Malaysia. Could it be that we are in for a repeat of history? or as they say, "history repeat itself."

It seems like even before the race he was a bit overwhelmed by the thought that there was a good chance of winning.Pre race it's the 'dunny runs' for me[Rachel Brookes] again and this time I notice someone behaving differently. Usually drivers walk across from the grid with their trainers, run into the toilet nearest their garage, and then head straight back to the grid. As the grid is so far back at the Sepang circuit, most drivers use one of two toilets. I positioned myself near one set and waited and caught several coming out and interviewed them. Sometimes drivers say yes to an interview, sometimes not but I always ask first. It was while waiting I noticed Sebastian Vettel come out of the bathrooms. His trainer was nowhere in sight but instead of heading to the grid he walked a bit further along the corridor and leant against the wall. (I have always known Seb to walk across with his trainer and walk straight back) Then he walked around, almost pacing the corridor, oblivious to the handful of us watching.
He eventually looked and saw a camera so turned his back and walked a bit further down, still pacing slowly. After about five minutes he walked back out past us but instead of going to the grid he leant against a wall in the pit lane and just watched the chaos that is the grid pre-race. No-one else noticed him for a short while and when they did and cameras started filming him he calmly walked over to the grid and started talking to his engineer. I was fascinated because after qualifying he had told me he could win this race and I believed him but wasn't sure how. Yes, the Ferrari was better on the option tyre than the Mercedes but would that be enough to close the gap? I have no idea what this pre-race routine was about except that I had never seen him do it before in over three years. But it certainly worked.
While we should always celebrate excellence and ingenuity, we also want exciting races. Add to that the genuine outpouring of emotion from Seb. I don't think you can underestimate what that win meant to someone who, as a kid, idolised Michael Schumacher. I overheard him saying that he feels Michael's spirit every time he goes to the factory in Maranello.
Or maybe he just felt the heat was too brutal out there and we are reading too much into nothing.

She explained it right after.'Usually drivers walk across from the grid with their trainers, run into the toilet nearest their garage, and then head straight back to the grid. The article(or diary) was basically about her race weekend work process.
I was honestly wondering what the heck Ferrari was thinking when they sacked Mattiaci and went with Arrivabene. I've gotta say though, every thing he has done this year has been correct. I think he's going to lead this team to some great things.
Really moving...
It is very touching. I like to think Michael saw it also.
Me too. I'd like to believe Michael saw the race and had a smile on his face.

What upsets me about that article was that they do not mention that Michael was with them watching, which possibly underlines just how injured he is. One day i hope he recovers enough to be able to walk talk and remember a great life.
There have been a lot of articles posted as new threads recently which can be quite repetitive to read and clog up the main page of the forum.
I'm going to merge the threads into one thread. It will keep all the post-race articles and news in the one place and hopefully be easier to read. There isn't really any need to post a brand new thread for every single article written about a race result or interview.
Going forward I don't mind creating a new thread at the end of each race where news can be posted. But if you would rather have several separate threads the way it is at the moment, speak up![]()

Me too agrees with the idea of having a single thread for all post race articles. It's more organized and easier to keep track of the main page this way.
Thank god that someone concluded all the post race news in one thread. It was pain in the a to read so many topics.
I thought it was great having so many threads to check out. Why else are we here? All in one tread one might just think, I read that already and go to You Tube.![]()
Not trying to be obstreperous, but I don't like the idea of all post race stuff being dumped onto one thread. You may as well just abandon the forum post each race and run a blog. Having one big amorphous blob of posts for all things post race means you have to read every topic and if multiple conversations go on at the same time on different topics within the blob-thread then its harder to follow each conversation. I like having different topics so you can scan some, deeply read others and easily follow specific conversations.
I'm just saying ...... :)
Well I agree with one thread for post race news as it was getting tough to keep up. Probably due to energy created by a long overdue win!
If there is something that you think deserves its own thread, I would think you're still free to do so.
