Boring race, but good result, we got what we could.
Would've been fun to see Kimi challenging Vettel in the final laps, but safetycar ruined that highlight..

Today's race reminded me a bit of the last few years.

Rosberg was playing the role of Webber - Inferior driver to the guy who finished behind (Vettel) but his big car advantage gives him 2nd.
Hamilton was playing the role of Vettel - excellent driver who when given a car with an advantage makes it a non-contest

I liked very much how Kimi overtook the two Williams cars in lap 1, just slipping past them with ease. This says a lot of our current engine vis a vis Merc engine.

Arrivabene: "Our goal has been reached."

Arrivabene: "I'm very very happy for Kimi!"

Arrivabene: "I didn't promise miracles. Mercedes today was faster, not too much, but faster."

Allison: "We will bring some updates in Bahrain next week. More in Barcelona."

Adami: "Luckily it was a race without problems. We could do better but we had some problems during the weekend."

Adami: "Seb has become a leader inside the team, he is learning Italian and there is a good atmosphere in the team."

Sebastian: "We tried to put more pressure by stopping first, but they were able to pull away."

Kimi: "I was close to the podium today, but there was the problem of the SC. I have to do a better weekend to be on the podium."

Kimi: 'We need time and patience. We can't make miracles. We will get there.'

Another damn Lewis-fest, he makes me squirm, as does Rosberg. BUT look where we are, challenging them on a circuit where we didn't seriously expect a repeat of Sepang, so well done guys for for what you did achieve. Boring race, no atmosphere, and not likely to do F1 any favours finishing with SC, aero and tyres playing too much importance so cars can't get close. Kimi is a great comedian and he did us proud today, as did Seb, so I'm satisfied with this result.

He was laughing in the teamradio, for like 0,3 seconds. Or he had sore throat...

I've decided that the BBC's F1 correspondent - 'journalist' Andrew Benson - has the same chip on his shoulder about Ferrari as that other nasty little bigot, 'Sir' Ron Dennis..

Every opportunity that little **** gets, he knocks Ferrari whilst ****-kissing Lewis and Mercedes. Still, given BBC's massive political bias, journalistic integrity and impartiality are clearly not prerequisites for working at BBC.

That aside, decent drives from Seb and Kimi. Think Seb will be grateful for that Safety Car though!

Except that Benson has slagged off Lewis loads of time. You're just letting your own bias get in the way, just cause Ferrari isn't been praised doesn't mean its a knock.

From what I have read Benson is a fan of Alonso AND Mclaren, and this year that might effect his opinion of Ferrari.

I have been reading Benson's stuff this season. He begrudged us the Malaysian GP win and has been glorying in our 'supposed' revival! Horrid little man.

Very boring race apart of the first lap. Some notes of mine:

    - Lewis was totally in control of Nico and I think this will continue to be the case unless he faces some technical problems during the season
    - Sebastian might have had some problems with Kimi during the last 3 laps - or not. They also might have needed to cool off the situation
    - Kimi finally managed an aggressive start and first lap
    - Williams is lacking the race pace to challenge us while they are close in quali
    - Toro Rosso was once again whipping RBR
    - Lotus has gained a lot with the change to Merc PUs
    - Fernando isn't the wizard he is claimed to be unless Jenson also has those same magical powers. Both seemed to extract everything from their cars.
    - On a related note, McLaren seems to have very good chassis and downforce but are severely hampered by the lack of horsepower. You could see this watching them drive through S2

I think we will be a lot closer to Mercs in Bahrain. Forza Ferrari!

It is a question of unintentional humour.

Humour is described for example in Wikipedia as follows:

Humour is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. The term derives from the humoral medicine of the ancient Greeks, which taught that the balance of fluids in the human body, known as humours (Latin: humor, "body fluid"), controlled human health and emotion.

Smile and laughter are said to extend one's life. It would be worth to try.

This is why rosberg is never a good driver. He keeps blaming or constantly complains about someone or something.

Looking forward to the fireworks In the Merc camp now. Just need to make sure we pounce when they have their carbon carnage. Vettel doing a great job out the cockpit too by fanning the flames. We know Lewis looses his head when things dont go his way so need to make sure he looses it big time in Bahrain.

Well it ended basicly like most predicted. There wasn't very much to do. The Parc Ferme rules are too rigid once qualifying starts and then the setup changes that can be made are limited. I'm trying to think of something that could have been done but I can't find any scenario that would have changed the final result. It's pretty clear we need higher temperatures, especially in the asphalt. Bahrain should be hotter than China and then we can only hope for a very hot european summer. Also we should not forget the engine/PU tokens that can be used. I'm sure the guys and girls in Maranello will do everything in their power to close the gap.

You need to keep dreaming, it not going to happen. The only person getting upset is Rosberg.
What flame fanning did Vettel actually do?

Very good result from our entire team. As Nero Horse pointed out, this is the best start we've had since 2010. Mercedes was faster, but not by much. Ferrari will continue to develop the car and I still believe a championship is obtainable because no one thought Ferrari would have come as far as they did this season. This car has a lot of potential.

While I'm reasonably happy for the team, as an F1 fan that was a pretty sad race. Almost as bad as the Australian GP. After the first lap it was just a procession with everyone managing their tyres.

This current era of F1 suffers from two problems. First, the Mercedes is far, FAR more dominant than Seb's RB's or even Schumi's Ferraris ever were. And second, the regulations make the races all about the management and conservation of engines, tyres, and fuel. You rarely see anyone really attacking the driver ahead of him because doing so takes too much fuel and tyre life (in the present race) and takes too much out of the power unit (which has to be made to last for at least five GPs).

Should have slept and not bothered with this morning's race. A 90 minute endurance race where everyone was constantly looking after tyres. Today's 6 hour WEC race on the other hand was a thriller, Audi/Porsche/Toyota pushing and pushing for the full 6 hours with the lead changing many times. Only 3-4 secs off the F1 pace now too; F1 must have its days numbered in its current form.
