Sebastian Vettel missed advice from Schumacher on Ferrari move

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/32264430

Sebastian Vettel said he missed having Michael Schumacher's advice over his decision to join Ferrari from Red Bull.
The 27-year-old German - who won his first race for Ferrari in Malaysia - said joining Schumacher's former team was the "hardest decision of my life".
Schumacher is being rehabilitated at home after suffering a severe brain injury in a 2013 skiing accident.
"Because the decision was so difficult, I would have loved to have spoken to Michael," he told the Daily Telegraph. .............."I had spoken to him about it many times before," said Vettel of Schumacher. "Sometime it was joking, sometimes it was serious.
"I think I missed that part a lot, simply because I knew he would tell me the truth of what he thinks. The honesty he had in giving me advice over the years is probably the most special thing about it."
I would hope one day MS will be at the race day fit and able to cheer Vettel on for a Ferrari WDC

The full story in the Telegraph is interesting.

The story of his journey from four titles with Red Bull to Ferrari is a long one. Sources suggest a formal ‘pre-contract’ was not in place but the relationship was already built on very solid foundations. As early as 2008, Ferrari made their first approach. They made another in 2010, before Vettel secret visited Maranello after the 2012 season. Last year, with Red Bull no longer the dominant force, negotiations stepped up. Marco Mattiacci, then team principal, went to Vettel’s home in Switzerland several times. Finally a call from Kehm, and Sergio Marchionne, Ferrari’s new president, sealed the deal.

I hope Marco Mattiacci is still privately part of Ferrari, he did a lot of good in a short period, does anyone know what he is currently doing?
