Well said. Those clowns from Woking are always full of it. Watching them crawling at the back is just priceless, second best thing, behind seeing Ferrari winning.

Same here! Always wise to keep an eye on the competition no matter how badly they seem to be floundering. We (Ferrari) have just shown a good example of that!
Plus, as you say it is interesting

A very interesting article where Resta and Allison explain Bahrain track: "Il Bahrain è un tracciato molto impegnativo per gli aspetti ambientali, la temperatura, e per le caratteristiche della pista, che mettono la macchina alla prova sulla trazione in uscita di curva e sulle frenate: numerose e molto forti», spiega. Due aree nelle quali Vettel e Raikkonen possono contare su una monoposto apparsa a proprio agio finora.Rispetto a Shanghai dovremmo ritrovare una SF15-T più vicina alle Mercedes.. Sabato e domenica è atteso tra i 20 e 35 km/h.

Bahrain is a very challenging track for the environmental aspects, the temperature, and the characteristics of the track, it put to the test the traction out of corners and braking: numerous and very strong, "he explains. Two areas in which Vettel and Raikkonen can count on a car appeared at ease since now. Unlike Shanghai we should find a SF15-T closer to Mercedes .. Saturday and Sunday wind is expected between 20 and 35 km / h , whitch affects very much the tires...

Hehe, if I remember correctly, Vettel had to finish second in your betting scenario, we have to still see how that plays out :p

But this year has been a pleasant surprise... I never expected Ferrari to be this quick!! then again, I never expected Red Bull to be on par with Toro Rosso lol!!

Oh and what's up with the F1 broadcasters, I never get an on board shot from Manor, never see them on the screen, nothing... it's like they don't exist... Every once in a while you catch a glimpse at the start of the race and that's it... is this intentional?

Talking about screen time. Did anyone notice how little Mercs were seen during the race and when they were, it was about Vettel vs Rosberg. Our commentators even mentioned that maybe Bernie has ordered no screen time for Mercs

Same in everything they do. 2007 RD said no way anyone cheated in his team only to admit McLaren employees cheated. The spin created this year with people somehow thinking a team in huge decline were going to challenge only to be 3 seconds off the pace. That they are making huge steps forward but 3.5 seconds off pole 2 races running. They can only get better from here but current situation is a disgrace. Ferrari had issues in 2012 but McLaren beat them hands down for poor performance.

The road cars. 12c will beat 458 all ends up. 90 percent of magazines prefered the Ferrari which also beats 12c on lap times in nearly all independent tests.

P1. Beat by Pirsche 2 times same day same time. On 1 occasion McLaren forced the magazine to delay the article so they could come back with a different car on stickier tyres to post a faster lap with a stipulation Porsche could not attend. 2nd test they used 2 sets of tyres to Porsche one and still lost. La Ferrari on worn tyres beat both same place same time.

The Nurburing lap time they had a magazine with them and helicopter for filming. When all done said no lap time released as did not want to encourage Nurburing laptimes as was dangerous. Said under 7 minutes honest but doubtful got close to Porsche.

They are full of it. I would not mind if they left F1 using the excuse as per P1 that no point pushing eachother for speed its dangerous. Their lead driver did struggle at Barvelona test on turn 3 at a relative slow speed. That was another case of their pr bs.

    Sebastian on Fernando and Lewis.
Asked by French daily L'Equipe who the German considered the best driver he has raced against since his F1 debut, Vettel clearly set apart the man he replaced at Ferrari

The driver who gave me the most trouble in the championship was undoubtedly Fernando [Alonso]. In 2010 and 2012, it was really close. We also enjoyed a few great battles these past two years, like at Monza

But Vettel was also quick to single out Lewis Hamilton. "I had a heard lot about Lewis when he was in karting but I had never competed against him before reaching F1. And it's a pleasure to race against him today

Evo car magazine at Anglesey. Ferrari belonged to a guy thats done vmax events in uk. He took the car along a day after a track day. He released the time in an internet forum, the magazine was not allowed to publish it only saying the Ferrari had nothing to worry about the other cars in the article. The others were factory supported the Ferrari was on worn tyres and a customer car no Ferrari personel present.

Bahrain heat expected to favour Ferrari

Eyes will be on the skies on Thursday as the Formula 1 world pushes through the Bahrain paddock gates, temperatures in the upper-thirties celcius are forecast in the island Kingdom, which will be music to the ears of Ferrari and their tifosi.

Mercedes bounced back a week ago with a one-two finish, but that was in chilly China. In the searing Malaysian sun, it was Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel who shone brightest.

“We can certainly do something more in the hotter temperatures,” the Vettel is quoted by SID news agency ahead of Bahrain, a night race.

Mercedes still has the downforce and power edge, but the reigning world champions have more difficulty than Ferrari in managing the tyres once the temperature rises.

An engineer for the German marque told Auto Motor und Sport: “The next two races in Bahrain and Barcelona could be difficult for us again.”

Boss Toto Wolff agrees: “Ferrari will be a danger for us on any circuit where they can use other strategies due to their good tyre management.”

    http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/bu...only-problem/?

Jenson Button says McLaren's problems are not just with the Honda engine, the Briton admitting the team needs to improve its car in all areas.

While the Woking-based team has struggled with power unit-related issues so far, Button says the car would not be running at the front even if the Japanese engine was stronger.

The Briton admits the McLaren is also lacking downforce.

"We still need to improve in many different areas. We are still very low on downforce," said Button.

"The efficiency of the car, and the driveability is very good, but we are still lacking downforce. But we know that. When you that base is very good because then you can start adding more downforce.

"I'm hoping we do in the next few races. Obviously if we had more power we'd be more competitive but we'd still not be competitive enough to fight in front.

"So there's areas we need to improve. Every area needs to be improved."

Button, however, remains optimistic that McLaren will take a significant step forward once the European season starts.

He feels the team has more room for improvement than many of its rivals.

"When you feel that you don't have enough downforce you see more issues with the car. When you add downforce it sort of covers those issues," he said.

"So in a way it's good to find the issues that you have and work around them, so when you have the downforce you'd sorted out the issues already, and hopefully we are going to benefit massively from adding downforce.

"It takes time, but I think there's more for us to gain than a lot of other people.

"I think in Barcelona we'll see a good step."

According to AMuS, We might use 2nd engine in Bahrain because of some cracks found in engine block..

Thats rumored...Hopefully we bring token upgrade because this makes little sense. If Barcelona/Canada were roadmaps for engine update, then we are effectivly going to use 2nd engine in Bahrein and then 3rd one in Barcelona/Canada already next week. Kinda sounds like bs. I think its bigger chance for it to be token updated engine.

    Edit.

Ok reading it twitter that Ferrari already denied that they will be using 2nd unit or that there are cracks on engine block.

Will still be warmer than China even in the middle of the night.

It is a track that is hard on the rear tires due to traction events and abrasive surface.

Tyre deg will be much higher than China. As much as Malaysia though? That is the question.
