Nobody has to make up stories about Ferrari. Many of these are not true, but we know already Allison was telling Kimi he can drive the car better this year. So Arrivabene is telling you he was making motivation in the team for the job. This is no reason to make up a story it is a true story with no important meaning.

The articale might not be 100% true but it's sounds very reasonable and I will take it on face value. Can I ask you if you are really a Ferrari fan or are you just trying to wind people up, not forgetting you called out TP scruffy and unkempt. If I had to guess I would say you probably don't like Maurizio Arrivabene.

Well, whatever changes they made, helped them produced a fast car that both drivers like! 4 races and the team already have 1 win, 1 second place and 2 third place, that's a huge improvement from last year.

Personally I don't see much sense for MA, or any team principle really, to come out and say he instructed the team to build the car to suit Kimi. Wouldn't that give the impression that one driver is more important to him than the other.

If the car is now build more to Kimis liking, it's more than likely that the previous one was built to suit Alonso. Alonso left and it was necessary to make changes to the car. Arrivabene said that Kimi and Vettel, more or less like the same kind of car, so if the car is good for Kimi, it should be good for Seb too. And as we have seen, he was right about that.

And it must have been easier to make the car based to Kimis liking, because team, especially Allison knows what kind of car Kimi likes. Seb on the other hand was new to the team. Kimi also knew what he liked and didn't like in the F14T, that must be important and helpful info when they are making a new car.

IMO that statement by Maurizio Arrivabene is just a way of showing that he supports Kimi Rikkonen and it is not just Sebastian Vettel.

Maurizio Arrivabene replaced Marco Mattiacci in 24th November 2014. James Allison said 2015 Ferrari chassis started from early January 2014. The gap between start of chassis design and being team principal is 11 months.

So based on that 11 months, obviously Ferrari 2015 car is designed for Fernando Alonso and Kimi Rikkonen but guess what? It is just nonsense that a car is designed just for one driver.

It is my understanding that SF15-T is designed to be significantly better handling car than what the SF14-T ever was. According to said article the front suspension of SF15-T was redesigned after December 2014 under a three month period. If Mr Arrivabene says that it has been re-designed to better suit Mr Räikkönen's and Mr Vettel's preferences as drivers then I am inclined to believe what he says.

Well the thing is, what Arrivabene meant was that he pushed the car to be suited to Kimi also and not just Vettel.
And if someone is prioritized that will be Vettel, he is payed double the money Kimi gets.

I believe that it was a normal decision by MA. Just like the 2014 car was made for Fernando Alonso's style ( the fact that they made a poor car has nothing to do with choosing to go with FA style, it was the Ferrari crew's fault that the PU was off) because Kimi was not at Ferrari and they couldn't get proper feedback from him. It is the same now with Raikkonen and Vettel, choosing a car that fits Kimi, the driver that was at Ferrari at that time and they knew exactly what he liked, was the normal decision. The fact that Vettel's style is close to Kimi's is just a great bonus and made it easy for Ferrari to have good results early on.

I don't believe Vettel is prioritized now or that he was back then.

I love that approach from Arrivabene, team orders should be only in the latter part of the season when a driver has a clear advantage over the other on points and he is fighting for a better place in the WDC. I remember that Ferrari was not always like this and is clear step in the right direction.

I wanted to say if someone is prioritized that would be Vettel, unless he lacks a lot in performance.

I agree but only if the driver with the most points got chance to win the WDC, not just for a better place.

I think in the last 2 races if one of them will be fighting for 2nd and the other will have the 4th place in the WDC in the bag it should be team orders.

Yeah i meant hypothetical also. If one of our drivers is fighting for second and our other driver got fourth in the bag i say let them race. If both of them are fighting for WDC and the other got bigger chances then i am for team orders. So i am for team orders only if WDC is at stake nothing else.
