"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli."
Guys have you all filled out the GDPA survey? Its our only way to help make F1 better. I believe it would be helpful if all of us could share our thoughts and ideas, hoping that the organisers pay attention to it.
Here it is! http://gpda.motorsport.com/
Obviously fans are being very supportive.
@alex_wurz: "the @GPDA_ global fan survey, on http://gdpa.motorsport.com is that popular that we have burned 3 servers so far! you guys are pushing, good"
"#F1 @gpda_ SURVEY UPDATE: sorry for server issues, but the server supplier, a large one, never saw so much traffic!"
I did the survey!
I did it too. :))
Ferrari per sempre !
There were some difficult questions there, hopefully I passed![]()
That survey is worthless. I'm pretty sure that FOTA fan survey from a few years back is how we ended up with crap tires and hybrids.
Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.
Kimi hit the wall! Secotr is over for him![]()

Damn noooo!! :(
Well the thing is, these survey merely highlights what the fans want, but the difficult part is to actually find the right changes to achieve the desire result. When Pirelli was told to make tires that are more fragile, it was an attempt to increase on track racing (which of course proved to be the wrong approach). Of course they can't rely on the fans to provide a solution as well, that's up to the technical experts. Fans can merely tell the sport what they want to see.
Going back to that FOTA survey, it did highlight stuff like most fans don't really care if the tech is green or not, and they want to see more overtaking, which I think still holds true. Most fans are not interested in the technical workings of the car, they just want to watch a spectacular race. The challenge still remains the same too, which is how do we actually achieve a spectacular race.
Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.
Who they really need to survey are the fans that have left
Seems that we can't count on a warm weather in the afternoon ... temps aren't very high ... possibility of rain 25 - 35% ...
"If I was driving for Red Bull [from 2008] probably I would have more championships, but because they were dominating between 2010 and 2014 probably I would never have driven for Ferrari. I am very happy and very proud to drive for Ferrari, all my time there.
the truth comes out HAM asked to be pitted himself the team was not advising him to do this, he was acting like it was their decision
http://www.formula1.com/content/fom-...aco_%2715.html
Indeed, but ofcourse the team could have replied that ROS and VET weren't pitting.
What I conclude from this:
Merc have did the best job going to 2014, and they still benefit from that. They were worth nothing in 2010-2013, probably because allt here effort was going in 2014. In 2014 they had a dominant car, so they didn't need to push to win, everythin was easy. So now, when they are pushed it starts to get messy.. The team makes mistakes (like Malaysia) but also the drivers, mainly Lewis, gets nervous.
If he's in front you never here from him, but when there is a threat, or traffic or something he' Always crying. Like "don't speek to me during the corners" etc..
For me this is a sign that they have been spoiled to much, having it easy, and when it's not easy everyone starts to stress and each other off..
Also, when they win dominant etc it's Always "the team did a great job, thanks petronas" blablabla, but when something isn't 100% then the atmosphere is bad in the team..
“The Ferrari is a dream - people dream of owning this special vehicle and for most people it will remain a dream apart from for those lucky few.” ~ Enzo Ferrari
Why should team be telling what Rosberg may or may not do? That's handicapping Rosberg who is strategising his own race.
Hamilton asking to pit is his own action, overruling the team as well. Giving away vital information about your competitors strategy over radio is banned in F1, especially stuff involving your own 2 drivers must fall under the new guidelines.
I guess Mercedes could have been penalised if they gave away Rosbergs strategy to Hamilton over the radio. A driver must drive his race unaided with rivals information. That's what I figured when FIA put out the rules regarding radio.
