All teams had to increase the pressure by 5psi. So, it would have been out of design spec for all the teams, which would have caused some performance issues. So, by Mercedes running lower PSI, they are getting an advantage, compared to other teams because they are still within their design limits, while other teams are out of the design limits. Simple.
One other thing, I used to like Mercedes, I cheered for Mika, for Kimi at McLaren Mercedes. But, after what Mercedes did with their illegal tire tests, which FIA didnt give a sufficient penalty for, I lost some respect for Mercedes and the brand. With this, now I lost even more respect.

We should run with lower pressures come Singapore. And wider wings and a more flexing floor.

That is a shame. I was looking forward to see Arrivabene walking barefoot around Maranello
But the 3rd win is still possible.

I think the problem is, the tire pressure were correct when they were fitted, but later on when they check again at 5 mins mark before the race, they found the lower pressure.

So perhaps Merc have found a way of jacking up the pressure during fitting, but after that the pressure will fall to the intended level.

Yup, and SkyF1 would be up in arms about it and we would get banned for few more races until they get the top 3 teams in the constructors championship to be Mercedes powered teams.

It was just on 1 wheel! On both cars! What's the point of this regualtion then? You know what... F1 is really a garbage lately.

So they didn't cheat. Correct at time of fitting to car but because the tyre blankets were unplugged the temps were lower therefore pressures as well. They will have been legal after the sighting lap, so no performance advantage. Storm in a tea cup.

Ah, so basically the stewards did not take into account the difference caused by tire temperature when they measure again on the grid

They measured at the wrong point then. It's not clear whether they were blow the minimum because FIA measured it at the wrong time!

Or more likely they did not have the balls to change the winner and let Mercedes get away with it again. Why don't they tell what was the temperatures when the measurement was taken?

This is another farce. If a mid field team has done it, they would have been already excluded by now.

Ah well was still an awesome weekend in monza, Shame about the tyre pressure fiasco seems merc and pirelli have a special bond
Interviewer: “The helmet has a special meaning for many drivers. How important is it to you?”
    Kimi: “It protects my head.”

So merc managed to wiggle themselves out of punishment once again, nothing new here! But oh well, I'm still happy that we got a nice podium in Monza and it was great to watch the good recovery that Kimi made from last place. All in all it wasn't a bad result at all, it could've been better of course, but it is what it is. Just too bad that the DNF happened to the wrong Merc.

Hopefully the Singapore track will suit our car even better and we'll get our 3rd win there. Forza Ferrari!!!

Next time, we should run an underweight car and just tell them the balast underneath was disconnected.

We should run with flexible wings next race and say it not flex when it first fitted

I think, we should run without the fuel restrictor and just tell, that it was there, when we last checked... And then in pit stops use just options and tell, that the color of the stipe must have changed, when we left it on the sun, because the power blanket was disconnected...
