He was slightly out of track on the grass and that caused him to loose control and crash. This is what he said.

We can overtake them during the pit stops. But we need to be faster in the race which I fear is not exactly the case.

glad he ok. But he been like a bull in a China shop all day. Been wild.

Think P3 was possible. Didnt think other than merc lock out all back to normal. Maybe Seb struggling with the I creased tyre pressures. Just cannt not get tyres into good working range

Wow, I'm glad no one was harmed in the accident. Both wheels broke off the tether.
Glad to see Kvyat unharmed, and the Williams behind him did not hit the wheels.

If we can get a good start & gud pit stops... Then we can jump Williams n hopefully take attack of any one of the mercs.
I would love to see another engine blow up for one of the mercs.

Those new guys are too used to disrespect the white lines. Old school track does not forgive..

Well, it'd be probably better if 3/4 of the race was without SC or rain, but then it rains Just enough that we get ahead of Williams, but don't fall behind Red Bull..

I found it interesting that we are behind Williams! Since everyone kept saying Ferrari and Mercedes PUs are on par. We have better downforce too. So is it the aero then? Maybe the lack of running on Friday didn't really work out for the team.

Pity we didn't get the chance to try and better the Williams, but 4/6th not too bad. If it's dry, I feel we may have trouble with tyre degradation with these higher pressures, but then the weather may or may not help. Glad Kvyat OK, big crash and that recovery truck brought back bad memories.

Maldonado, kvyat, max vers n few others. These guys drive dangerously. They don't follow rules, just want to impress everyone n try make a way into top teams.
If these guys r racing, we can expect SC or VSC or red flag or yellow fag.. Wtever flags r available.

I get the comment on Maldonado, I can even understand why you'd think that about Grosjean, but Kvyat???!

From the previous races what we observe is... Ferrari trying to improve the car from fp1 to fp3 n setting it up for quali.
As in this race, fp1 & fp2 were effected by rain n lack of proper running in dry conditions made it somewhat Difficult to setup for quali.
From q2 to q3 (1run) Seb improved around .6, bottas .3.... I think Seb was getting into groove for a final hot lap.. Just pitty that kvyat got crashed, which prevented Seb & other drivers to make the final run count.

    waste of grid positions

First impression is that these young and unexperienced drivers cause too much red flags and safety cars = less racing.
It also seemed to me that Ferrari was a bit too over confident. Kimi definetly was faster than Seb and good chance for p3. They should secure that spot earlier. I don't know if KR did that firs run with used tires, if did it was big mistake.

Race tomorrow: Merc light year ahead and SV or VB will be holding rest behind. Kimi could have pace to easy p3 in the race but it will be difficult pass Williams, Seb he is not allowed pass. Race will be boring because Merc is too fast and Williams race philosophy - fast on straights, slow on corners, impossible to overtake. Hope I am proved wrong tomorrow.

Reading posts how Seb could do this and that - I respect him a Lot but in this race I believe KR is faster.

In my opinion, Grosjean learned from his mistakes n when there is a scenario of colliding with other car he just backed off a little bit in couple of occasions to avoid accidents & he's a lot matured as a driver... It's just my opinion. I hope I'm wrong :d

Didn't watch Q, but as it seems the usual trouble for us.Cold temperatures and hard tires!!!Lets wait and see tomorrow but....!!!!
For the rest of the year we have to wait foe Soshi and Abu Dhabi for the super softs and COtA for the new PU ,and probably some aero (new floor), upgrades!!!!

Kimi & Seb n all others were on new set of tyres for the first run except kvyat (only 1run)
I think we r carrying more downforce than Williams, as tmrw there is a chance of rain.

Well it's hard to say about downforce. If that is the case overtaking without the rain will be virtually impossible.
As much as I like Kimi, I am honest and realistic about the situation KR+wet conditions - it has newer worked and I don't have high hopes it will in future.

I don't think either of them did their laps on used tyres?
Raikkonen said the tyres were not good for the lap in Q3, same with what Seb said for his tyres in Q2. And Vettel will start the race on those tyres he didn't really like. I didn't see the long runs. But I hope deg is not higher than Williams. It was higher than Red Bull in Singapore.

On another note, this season Raikkonen got stuck behind drivers whose teammates Vettel managed to overtake in the same race. And every race Vettel needed to go fast to catch up with someone or pull up a gap, he had more pace than Raikkonen actually, except for Bahrain. I'd say hold your horses. Race is tomorrow.

Also, overall we see a lot less flag or SC compared to the past, how do you figure these young guys create "too many" problems??

Kvyat is under a lot of pressure to perform well because he might be replaced in RBR by either of the young lions in Toro Rosso so he takes a bit too much risk. And this is the end result. Old school tracks don't forgive mistakes.

Decent drive from both Seb and Kimi, I think with another run we could have ended up 3rd and 5th but not higher than that.

To be fair to Kvyat, running off the limits of a track is not a mistake exclusive to young drivers. Australia's turn 1 entrance is a popular place for such mistake, I think the entrance into Canada's turn 6 or turn 8 is another place where driver tend to clip the grass as they prepare to enter the corner. Perhaps the only difference I could see is Kvyat appears to run somewhat further out onto the grass, but that's about it.
