Yes, in my opinion Kimi has been doing a good job every race.. Obviously the start in Bahrain and his qualy lap in China were stupid mistakes, but I'm really impressed by him..

The only problem with him is sometimes in the race, he will be sleepy. I mean to say, half of the race he will be in his own world & later part of the race he comes alive.

Encouraging day for us but it still seems that Merc have something in hand, maybe if we can split them on the grid and have a clean start for a change, we can win this. But I'm not counting my chickens, just trying to be positive. So far so good, anyway.

I think the case with Kimi is, he's a real racer, he want to be in a car and just race, not thinking about fuel, tyres, ... Some other drivers are more aware of this and "play the game".
When Fernando and Felipe were still with us, it was very clear in my opinion: Felipe was still fast, but he would loose out massively when pit stops started, because he wasn't able to push before the pit, and he couldn't clear traffic as fast as Fernando could after the pit, which meant their difference in the race was huge. I have the same feeling with Kimi, but he still is one of the better drivers out there..

I don't think they are planning on using the soft tyre to much... Just for qualy. They've got such a pace advantage they can play it safe on mediums

The Merc boys were struggling with tyres due to high temperatures. I just wonder if that affects us as well. The conditions for qualifying will be the same as FP 2 just hope we nail it in qualifying and split the Mercs or have one car in front

or better yet we split the Mercs this way in quali:

Seb, Lewis, Kimi, Rosberg.....rather then splitting them the other way......wishful thinking, but ya never know

    i know, i know...i was only giving you a "hard" time mate....lol

i TOO would love to see that your comment was wrong, but i'm with you on the Mercs pace so far this season, they are really, REALLY strong....we'll see what's gonna happen in a few races and hopefully Ferrari will bring up their game especially with the new TURBO coming for Canada

if we don't win this weekend, let's hope Lewis wins it and Rosberg DNF"s....for teh sake of the champioship in case we'll be stronger later ON.
    Forza Ferrari SEMPRE!!!

The pace is undeniably very good here. On softs for instance its very line ball with Mercedes, on mediums slightly behind. Overall, probably behind, but if Ferrari get track position at the start or in qualifying they have a chance to win. Whoever has track position into turn 1 will be vital here.

If we are only 0,5-0,6s off, that would be great! Don't get me wrong, I'm not pessimistic.. But last year we were 1s off at this track, so that would be a huge gain!

Agree, Merc will mainly race on M, we probably as well.. Perhaps there is a chance to use the hards with a SC? Try something different with one driver? Qualy will simply be about locking out the second row and be there if something goes wrong with Mercs, however don't take 2nd row for granted, like we saw in some other races.. Start and track position will be massively important here

There is not so much track evolution in this track, but maybe we will see 1.23.00 in this session.

Very good lap from Seb, also very good lap from ROS..
Advantage of ROS in S3, nice to see that we were almost nothing off his time in S1 and S2 while on M compared to M.. S will give most advantage in S3 then S1 and S2 soo..

Good lap from Seb.. We can try to match S1 and S2, but we will loose it all in S3..

Yeah, the rear doesn't look like it's planted there.. But we will Always be down in S3 to Mercs unless they make a mistake.. It's not a shame, the car is really much better then last year.. Just do the best we can and see where we end up.. Perhaps Mercs get problems, perhaps we get problems.. What will be important is not to make any mistake because RBR isn't to far off and I think they'll improve slightly.. We don't whant to be stuck behind them..
