Yeah, it's even reported that the contracts with Liberty Media are already signed.

But Ross doesn't like F1 politics and Bernie's job is probably 99% political

Updates to the story indicate Ross would take over as Chief Sporting or Technical Officer. Is not replacing Bernie.

Yeah that's very interesting. He thinks there's a vacuum in the middle. He thinks that when that happens people try to fill it like SM. And that the management needs to diffuse all kinds of situations so that the team can work properly.

Ross openly says his favorite driver @ Merc is Nico over Lewis! If he was still there Lewis would be driving a DNF special. Ross would try but never get Lewis to do an extra pit or move over for his boy Nico! Watching races without #1,#2 drivers preferance is what makes F1 races still exciting, drivers fighting for points and podiums. Isn't that what F1 racing is all about?

I don't think Ross said Nico is his favourite. He simply said that he wishes Nico wins this one as Lewis has been bashing him for last two years

He would set Ferrari on the right path if he made a return. Of that I have no doubt.

Yes, bashing him on the track is where it counts. I can't erase from mind when Ross' " favorite " @ team Brawn was Button to win. He pitted Rubens 3xs to be sure! I'm just not a big fan of Ross returning anywhere in F1.

I don't think Ross Brawn is ruthless enough to replace Bernie.

When a driver doubts s call like a pit stop; he's paying attention big time to what's going on in his beind the wheel estimation, and can maybe do what he think's best at the moment. Again, he's behind the wheel! Enter a Ross: "You signed a contract! Your getting paid by the team! " Do what your told! Terrible mentality. Even Bernie disagrees with that mentality, let the drivers race. Even our boy Kimi says "Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing!" Fan to Ross: Relax at home, enjoy the races on TV!

But there are times when the driver can't know what other drivers are doing. The pitwall has more info. A driver may think his times are great, but doesn't realize the guy that pitted for new tires is 2 sec a lap faster. Or if they pit on a certain lap, he can exit into clear air rather than behind slower cars.

I agree with everything you posted. As long as those are the circumstances where driver and pit wall info is for the win with regards to either team driver. I was mainly reffering to Ross and IMO how he has his favorite driver, and the info is say an extra pit or a let him pass so as to help his guy win. Your post is %100 on the $$
