Merc 4W steering replicating mech is actually being discussed on Italian websites. Documented by Giorgio Piola on a link i posted yesterday. But anyways I wanted to believe it could be the reason but am more inclined to believe MGP had more grunt on tap.
P.S. Honda is meant to run a new massive PU upgrade.

It's not how start but how you finish.
GPS data from Singapore & Sochi shows Ferrari doesn't deploy that exceptional power "boost" on the straights anymore. According to our information FIA fitted a 2nd sensor to monitor battery energy output. Is there a connection?

Its only one website. Plus did you read the whole article? It is banned, but i spoke about this to someone who looks at all F1 technical stuff and reports them to websites last year. Funny enough around Suzuka. If they doing it, it will be done with running the suspension in certain ways to get the wheels toeing in or out more by softening the suspension. Its not that simple, but a simple way to explain it.
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
Yes it is not actual 4w steering but rather replicating the effect via transmission and suspension. Merc have always been hell bent on improving suspension as far back as Ross Brawn days. They were testing linked suspension to lower the car according to speed etc. back then. The miraculous performance gain is a bit too much to accept but anyways. Their gain is almost a second on us considering we were in front. Tires are lasting and they get temps much quicker than us on the rears. That Rim / Brake / Suspension trickery must be impressive.
As much as I love Suzuka and it has so many wonderful memories for me ..I'm staying in bed for this one. not getting up at 5am to watch goldenboy extend the gap even more, stuff that.
See your attitude is precisely why is does NOT benefit the FIA or anybody associated with F1 to stack the deck in favor of one team running away with a championship. People turn off their TV sets when that happens. TV sets being turned off means fewer people are exposed to advertising and that's how this stuff works in the modern world.
I'm not criticizing your attitude by the way b/c I share it myself. What is left to watch? There is absolutely no way Hamilton or Merc are going to give this championship away...you are going to need at least two DNFs by Hammy for that to happen and Seb will need to win most every race regardless, b/c even w/ two DNFs Hamilton likely has another win or two in order before season's end.
Same here, this race will be one to skip. Can’t really take another Merc 1-2 with ratboy extending his championship lead. Only thing that could make this race interesting will be if Bottas torpedos Hamilton in a fit of rage as payback! lol but that will never happen...
~FORZA FERRARI~
Watching formula one since 1986 and the wonderful second World championship crown for Prost i have to admit this sport has lost a lot if you want to compare both era .
Mercedes only wants to overtake the Ferrari golden era (1999-2004) and i strongly suspect FIA is a part of the plan .
The real only problem is Mercedes total dominance the last five years,
Sadly and in reality, Ferrari was never a real contender.
It's just like a bad movie without any kind of suspense.
I feel with all of you guy for not wanting to get up early... I really do... If it wasn't at 07:10 by Serbian time, I would also not want to get up early and watch LH and Mercedes snooze fest... As it is at 07:10 I'll punish my self and watch the race with some fate left that actually something can be done...
A good race in Japan would open up some opportunities for us. It is one of Seb's favorite track so maybe we can get something good out of this.
[gptoday]
Honda will run dyno tests on their new spec engine before making the call on whether to race it in Japan.
The decision was made in Sochi to run the new Spec 3 but revert back to the older unit after seeing some "unsuitable behavior" in the power unit.
It's not how start but how you finish.
well we all know how NOT so good the sf71-h is in the wet, and is supposed to be a WET quali....and Vettel kind of mediocre in the wet, as opposed to Hamster which shines in the wet....i'm not getting my hopes up too much...
but if something GOOD somehow arises from this weekend, especially on Sunday.,,,,then i'll take it for sure
but all in all, i'm not getting too carried away
Forza Ferrari SEMPRE!!!
My guess is, by adding this 2nd sensor, Ferrari was "doing something that they were'nt supposed to be doing" hence the "loss in power." Can't blame Ferrari for that loophole.....now that it's closed.
What I find perplexing is how and why did they(FIA) add a 2nd sensor after the 1st sensor deemed everything with the batteries was legal. Everyone uses the same ECU governed by the FIA.
My guess and this is just hypothetical, someone went running to the FIA and told them to "dig deeper" after the 1st sensor was initiated....like someone told them to put the 2nd sensor at this specific place in the PU. Again, I have no way of proving this nor is there any substantiated resource to say otherwise.....it's a gut feeling and personal opinion.
It's concerning the amount of scrutineering Ferrari has endured this 2018 season....more so than other teams.
It's not how start but how you finish.
by that you mean the FIA or mind as well call them the MIA (mercedes international association)??? obviously NOT; they want Mercedes winning at any cost.....they got too scared that Ferrari have caught them from behind, or EVEN surpass them on engine power....so something had to be done to slow us back down again and give mercedes more championships.....SAD JUST SAD
Forza Ferrari SEMPRE!!!
that's why from 2005 and 2006 the FIA turned a blind eye to Renault and the mass damper suspension along with special michelin tires renault were running so that they would STOP ferrari from winning more championships.....so in other words to stop the BORING....
and now same thing....only the boring now is MERCEDES and Luise winning
Forza Ferrari SEMPRE!!!
