I don't know if this has been discussed earlier, but today Vet pace was much faster than Lec's. Can this be related to setup and explain the difference in qualy? More pro Q in Lec's car...

Seb decided not to race anymore and just parked the car so Charles wouldn't win... What a load of *****... The low iq of some people..
Interviewer: “The helmet has a special meaning for many drivers. How important is it to you?”
Kimi: “It protects my head.”
What goes around comes around. Vettel got the better strategy in Singapore even when he was slower.
And if he wants to leave, he is more than welcome to do so. But the question is, who would take him? Red Bull...maybe...but no way they are going to pay him more than Max or have him as a number 1 driver. His would be Max's butler.
Mercedes...I don't think so. They already have Hamilton and they're no going to pay him more salary. And Again, Vettel would be the number 2.
Today Vettel was faster, no doubt. But overall, he is slower than Charles. The points gap to Charles is pretty clear.
After a trio of wins this is hard to take and especially so when the SC gifted the win to HAM and Merc. We could still have had another 1-2 but for the SC and how sad that it was caused by Seb's car, that's karma for assuming we could get a 4th win in a row. Something was bound to go wrong and it did, and the team preferences for one driver over another in a particular race should be kept private, not over the radio for all to hear, it makes us look silly. Charles needs to do what he said, just keep quiet and concentrate on the driving, hard though it is and he said so himself after Singapore. Seb was back to his old form and sad to see the car let him down. Charles getting another podium just about counts as a result of sorts.
Apples and oranges. 5,000 miles between the two circuits (literally).
The corner Bianchi crashed in is flat-out in the dry. This one is coming out of a hairpin in dry conditions with full visibility, going into another monotone slow turn. That time, the weather was so abysmal they ran more than five seconds or so slower than normal rain pace. Visibility was also dreadul because of the spray and the cars had zero grip.
In fact, it's beyond apples and oranges. Way beyond.
not the result we are looking for. Sadly, both championships are lost, but we have a great opportunity to be crowned champions next year given our resurgence in terms of power and downforce. The Mercs is probably at tne end of their development curve and since we have a different design philosphy, it's gonna be to our advantage unless they abandon theirs and copy ours.
things to improve on next year:
1. race strategy. We tend to shoot ourselves in the foot in terms of race strategy for the longest time. We need to learn how to think and adjust on the fly and learn from our bad judgment calls in the past.
2. Reliability. we have the best engine but reliability is still an issue. We had to detune our engines at the start of the season and lost 2 races because of it.
3. More importantly, our drivers need to learn to co-exist and become team players. It's great that Charles have adjusted tremendously in his first year with the Scuderia and has outscored Seb at this point of the season. Unfortunately, there can only be one alpha in a team. Rosberg predicted there will be internal fireworks within Ferrari due to our drivers' personalities. This is one aspect we need to sort out ASAP otherwise Toto Wolff and Voodoo Hamilton will laugh their way to victory once our drivers screw each other in the race.
Didnt watch the race until the end glad I was outside in the nature. So angry well at least the title is lost. SEB STILL HAS IT IN IT IS A RELIEF. SEB JUST GO PLEASE MAYBE JOIN SAUBER. I AM TIRED OF THIS AGAIN.
Really sad. But glad that is over.
Sometimes I think you are on the right and make sense then posts come out of the wrong side. "points gap is pretty clear" *smh* you got to be serious on that? cl is the clear fav in qualy. There is no clear fav in race pace and hasn't been barring different strategies. So plz keep your comments and your belief to yourself. I hope ferrari keeps this line up because this pair will bring us a few WCC atleast.
Ferrari needs to manage both drivers and let them race.
Lets break it down:
Britain: Merc dominated Ferari in qualy and the race.
Germany: Merc dominated Ferari in qualy and was leading the race cruising before the rain ensumed
Hungary: Merc dominated Ferrari again in qualy and the race
Belgium: One a track that suits Ferrari perfectly, the Mercs lost qualy. But showed to have superior race pace by far. Vettel was used as a blocking stop for Hamilton and despite that Hamilton would have won if the race were 1 or 2 laps longer.
Monza: On a track that suits Ferrari perfectly, LEC got pole in front of Hamilton. In the race HAM cruised around and saved tires in 1st stint, after the pitstop he began hounding LEC lap after lap and forcing LEC to defend with shady measures. The Merc had the best race pace by far again.
Singapore: Ferrari suprises with pole, in the race Hamilton is running in traffic the entire race, Bottas shows best pace in the race in free air, meaning its likely the Merc was the quicker car in race pace.
We got Merc with better race pace in 6 straight races.
---
Clearly Ferrari have improved alot, but there is no proof the Merc is not quickest in the race where tire preservation comes into play. Will be interesting to see some tracks where its possible to overtake and not power circuits like SPA and MONZA.
Since there is no race yet, where its clear Ferrari had the best race pace, we cant conclude that Mercs dominance in race pace has gone away.
You have to look at the details, not just the results.
I just want people to be realistic about the situation and not think suddenly the Ferrari can dominate the Mercs easily as some seem to think! Its fantastic that Ferrari can compete in qualy though, its very exciting.

"Formula 1 is not a sport anymore” - Fernando Alonso
And the clueless madman appears out of nowhere! My post was a response to Vettel165, according to him Vettel is getting hard done by Ferrari and he needs to leave this "salty" team. While ignoring how his idol benefited from Ferrari's Singapore strategy.
Do try to keep up next time.

Sochi S3 "circuit" layout according to some:
Well, well. I guess enjoy Hammy's cheat win then.
Really now....did anyone say Ferrari had the better car before the summer break? No, nobody did. Yes Mercedes had the best car before the summer break, nobody said otherwise and no need to waste anyone's time here.
But after the summer break and especially after the singapore upgrades, Ferrari now have the better car. You can twist as much as you want, but Ferrari won Spa and Monza fair and square. And they dominated Singapore and would've won today's race as well without the VSC. It's not possible to achieve this results without having a faster car.
