what glory runs? McLaren was faster than us in FP3. There's no surprise. Norris is the fastest on the 1st sector.

It’s just Friday times that gave us some hope. Eventually it didn’t last long.

    Same old stuff

Shows you how close the pack is. We were definitely driving higher engine modes/lighter in FP1-FP3.

Only Leclerc is carrying this car to next level.
I don’t see any car performance improvement.

Sector 1, this is where we are losing time. Car is very competitive in sector 2 and 3. Let's see what Leclerc can do with his final run.

    Charles' time confirmed yet?

That's amazing if true. Way ahead of Bottas on a power track!

Wow wow wow. The whole grid is crazy close. Top 9 within 0.8. Sounds weird but Sa8nz starting 11th on new tyres with everyone so close is a big advantage.

Ferrari would have been P6. If not bottas worst performance & Norris track limits.

I don’t see any kind of improvement from the car. It’s just leclerc all the way, that is keeping or carrying the car into Q3.
Else would have been another disaster year.

    - Hamilton really lucky there. Max lost about 3 tenths.
    - Norris really fast.
    - Great effort from Leclerc as always!

Last year he would've been in no position to take advantage of a Bottas meltdown and this is still a track with a 1.3 km main straight, three major uphill accelerations and average speeds in the excess of 235 kph.

He tunes up his car more to quali pace than race pace, so he can get better track position, like I said earlier, he is a clever young man, he knows how difficult it is to overtake, and he knows that our car is slow, so this is the only way to have a chance to get close to the top, if he just can keep his position in race.

Nice job by Perez too, beating Max is not easy.
