Leiws doesn’t make it a good attitude, makes the praises sound fake and attitude self centered. Also, he forgot what it was like to have a bad car.

Charles said he would have gambled with reliability even if there was only a 20% chance of winning.

Ferrari Engineering botching it again. Poor assessment capabilities. On the other hand, congratulations to Carlos for a job well done.

But they were distracted by Piero Ferrari's birthday and had too much cakes and wines. That's the only explanation.

It's a normal procedure to check the whole car after a shunt.

Awesome drive by Carlos today. Though we couldn't capitalize on our pole position, its still great to finish on the podium here.

Such a shame for Charles though.

Very strange indeed. Would have thought they checked the entire car, given that it was quite a heavy impact

They had the whole night to inspect the car but didn't even bother to break the curfew. Sometime it gets very hard to defend this team, the sheer stupidity and incompetence they displayed today is rather astounding.

Agreed. I'm not defending him at all.

Because if Ferrari is behind Lewis in a race wouldn't you prefer Lewis to have a bad pitstop? Or if Ferrari overtakes Lewis, he'd be losing points as well. So what's your point precisely?

Here's my impression of the inspection of Leclerc's car.

My point is, first and foremost I would prefer Ferrari to win the race, even if it benefits Lewis as well. I don't care for Lewis. I would never want to give up a race victory just to hurt Lewis. That's very twisted.

I really worry about our team management and team decisions. That seems to be by far our weakest link. Red Bull have been struggling to compete throughout the hybrid era but they never once came across as a team in disarray. We need to fix the team before we fix the car. Hopefully we are becoming a better team gradually behind the scenes. I really hope so.

The team we have right now is definitely in a much better shape than it was in late 2018-2020 when it comes to management. So, I guess there is a lot of progress, just not enough and it also isn't happening fast enough. I just hope they're in a much better shape when going up against the 2022 title challenge.

If they don't get their **** sorted out now, the next few years are going to be a heartache.
But, I'm sure they'll put up a stronger font for the following years.

Mercedes is absolutely furious right now. They're threatening legal actions if the flexible rear wing isn't removed by Baku. What a bunch of rats. RB, Ferrari, AT, AR and Haas should collectively put some money to just focus on the illegal crap that Mercedes are doing and put fire beneath their bottoms.

"Today's sensations are clearly opposed because it was a great shame for Charles, while for Carlos the weekend was fantastic, as he scored a beautiful second place which is also the first podium with us", Binotto told Sky. Sport, then recounting the crime that happened to Leclerc.

"For Charles, sorry, it's a shame; there were reliability problems and this is not good. Something must have broken in the hub or the left hub carrier, in the transmission between the drive shaft and the wheel. 'nothing comes with yesterday's accident, since the blow took it on the right and the break occurred on the opposite side. In the case, it would still be a very strange consequence, but we will analyze everything calmly ".

"It is clear that we still have to make progress and we will have to learn from mistakes. Today we made one, but the important thing is always to understand what are the solutions and actions to be taken to grow and ensure that mistakes are not repeated in future".

"This weekend we had the potential to win and honestly no one would have expected it, not even us. It's nice to see that we are growing and that somehow the direction is the right one. From the gallery data we knew that we could have done well at Monaco and we have had confirmation, which is encouraging ".

"In general, the SF21 performed well on this track. It is a Ferrari that can give satisfaction on certain tracks, we will try to improve it, but for us the important thing is to build something serious in the medium-long term, not looking at the single. race, but to the future to open a winning cycle. It takes patience and time, but we proceed in small steps and today's result is fundamental in this sense ".

"We gained few points compared to those we could have brought home. We had a faster pace than Bottas' Mercedes and if Charles had been there, he would certainly have played with Verstappen at the start. The victory was within his reach, but with hindsight it's easy to talk. "

"Charles stayed with us throughout the race, he went to look for Carlos to congratulate him and he attended his award ceremony under the podium. It is the demonstration of team spirit, which is the right one and makes us happy and proud. It is not never predictable, we build it over time, we are a young team that wants to grow and do well together ".

"We remained very united also in 2020 despite the difficulties, for those who lived this situation from inside, it was palpable and you could touch everything. I must say that the choice to have Sainz with us was a further step towards amalgamating and creating a solid group. It's very nice because he and Charles are happy, we also saw him under the podium, so in this sense it's all very positive ".

Didn't Ferrari say yesterday that they wouldn't be telling everyone before the last second if there was damage? This could have just been part of the mind games...

So it was okay for them to run DAS the whole of last year, and not okay for the other teams to get a couple of races to fix the issues. Didn't these wings pass the FIA testing before the season started, now suddenly they're deemed illegal. It is so frustrating to even see this guy attempt to open his mouth.

There seems to be a lot of blame being laid on Charles for crashing yesterday, when in all fairness he was just trying to do an even better lap. That aside, he handled the subsequent DNS in a mature way but must have felt so gutted, yet he stayed and went to the podium to watch Carlos receive what he probably felt should have been his own podium place, that takes strength of character. Great drive from Carlos to give us some satisfaction but the whole race was pretty uneventful and lost most of its appeal with Charles' DNS. Hope Baku won't be as bad as feared with that long straight and that Charles can fight back without any crashes in THAT corner! Nice to see HAM off the podium for once, and a measly 1pt for GIO was well-deserved.
