Mick's time clock is ticking as evidenced by K-Mag whose been out of an F1 car for a year and under a NEW FORMULA.

Stroll.....jeeeezus....what a pathetic F1 driver...gettin beat by Hulk who's been out of F1 for over a year and under a NEW FORMULA with very little practice in the car.
    Well said.

Also, RB's launch spec was clearly nowhere near as good as ours. Our launch spec was miles ahead of the rest.

    Wonderful take.

This must have been very emotional for Charles.

One thing to keep in mind... we have more time allowance in wind tunnel compared to RedBull and Mercedes during the season as we finished behind them in the championship. That's quite an advantage I would say. We just have to use it well.

Yup, they took a big hit with the new E10 fuel. There's no other explanation for their sudden loss of engine performance.

What strikes me is that, in quali, we were faster with a lunch spec then a heavily upgraded RB

Not to shabby for an Italian team. Guess we're keeping Binotto for the time being?

We have a good base at the moment.
Upgrades was always an issue.I hope this year will be different.
As for tomorrow i expect somehow Carlos to be infront of Max in the first corner...then let Charles do the job.

Source or is this a personal observation????

Ferrari(Binotto) stated they lost 25hp on the E10 fuel as I read that somewhere......but so did everyone....so that nullifies that.

Nothing has changed with the PU's going into this new Formula other than the E10 fuel.

The loss in performance from MB is their aero package....as they are still trying to find, comtemplate or figure that out.

It's stuck inside that super slim body of theirs, and there's no way of getting out without dismantling the whole thing.

I'm not only talking about the Merc. There are two other teams with the same PU and both of these teams were rocket down the straight last year.

Yes, that is very encouraging. RB needed a major upgrade just to catch up. But as others have said, we need to make sure our in-season development is strong. Good thing we have new tools that seem to be working very well.

No no no, you cannot compare cars from last year to this year......we are in a completely different aero formula currently.

I'm telling you, it's not the PU or the E10 fuel with regards to Mercedes or Mercedes supplied cars.

Fantastic quali performance from Charles and Carlos and it bodes well for the season, so good to be back where we belong and fully competitive, congrats to the whole team for their work and Binotto for his input. But the race is tomorrow and as Charles said to Coulthard post-quali, anything can happen! Good to see the Haas and Alfas mixed in with the Mercs too. Forza for tomorrow!

yes, but Ferrari, RedBull, and MB have to absolutely perfect in all aspects when it comes to racing. Currently, MB is lacking so Ferrari and RedBull have to take advantage of MB not being able to fight up the front. Ferrari has to take the most points away followed by RedBull to nullify MB chance of making it up to the front once they figure out their aero issues.

MB still has an ace up it's sleeve once they figure out their aero issue....they could simply change out their PU every other race for the "spicy" PU....get sent to the back of the grid and make up places and the best time to do that is during the sprint races which this season has 3 sprint races. Brazil 2021 ring a bell??

Data says otherwise. The Mclaren isn't suffering from the bouncing on the straight. It was the fastest car on the straight last year and this year it's slower than all the other Ferrari, Honda and the only Renault powered cars.

But I'm not too fussed about Mercedes PU's performance. Let it be the E10, porpoising or the act of god, I don't care. I'm simply enjoying their demise.

Personally, I would'nt want them to leave F1. Ferrari needs to beat them fair and square. MB no longer has the advantage anymore currently with regards to the past 8 years. We are currently in a budget cap and a new aero formula.

Ferrari and RedBull/Honda have upped their A-game with regards to the PU in 2022 to challenge MB.
