Sainz was coming -0.040 to charles first lap after sector 2

Must have been something happened at last corners.

May be due to Sun light.

Shame about the aborted lap during the red flag for Carlos, but what a mighty lap by Charles when it counts. The boy is good under pressure.

Sainz I’m disappointed once again. He’s very talented driver but failing to the expectations

Great lap by Charles. But now it’s 2 vs 1. RB does have advantage in race.

Carlos's mistake in S3, he was up there with Charles first lap after the first 2 sectors, but man that porpoising is scary...

Nope. His last lap was -0.040 .. not before Red flag.

    Something happened at last corners.

What about penalties for verstappen and Perez? Didn’t they impede people and ignored flags.

We'll finally get to see how good is our car, driver and strategists are as sianz will have to pass quite a few cars to get good points for us or else Redbull will catch up in the WCW

Max I assume it will be a reprimand, for Perez should be a penalty if not lifted.

Laurent Mekies confirms the issues on Carlos‘s car. They couldn‘t start the car for some reason and thus he had not an ideal outlap / prep lap that he would have needed…

Crazy quali. Leclerc showing his blistering one lap pace once again.

Shame for Carlos, he's been unlucky all weekend with traffic ruining laps, red flags at just the wrong times, etc. I would not have been surprised if he was 2nd today, but at the very least 4th. Unfortunately that's not the case. A good test for the 2022 cars, to see if a front runner can get through traffic. That 4th DRS would have been handy for him tomorrow, but I am glad that it is gone. 3 is still too many.

Bigger shame for Alonso. He was on a flyer. I doubt it would have came close to pole, but it's reasonable to assume he would have been best of the rest and starting 5th.

Nice to see McLaren coming to grips with their car. Should be a good fight between them, Mercedes, and Alpine in the race.

The billionaire kids always find a way to remind us they probably shouldn't be in F1. Granted, I do not put any blame on Latifi. Why on earth did Stroll decide to turn right where he did? It almost looked like a deliberate move to either block or "scare" Latifi. IMO, he should get a penalty for that. Gotta feel for the Aston Martin mechanics, no questioning their effort to the team.

Guys i think Pull rod suspension helps to reduce porpoising for ReDbull

I ve looked at RB cars footages a lot where other cars struggles.

Seems like it is only back end of the car porpoising. Front of the floor not going down as much as back end.

Amazing job by Charles on such a flat out track versus that dragster.

Carlos obviously would've been P4 had they not been a bit too trigger-happy on the red button. Then he overdrove in S3 but he should be able to recover to P4 tomorrow by overcutting the guys ahead and then picking them off with ease.

Race pace should be good given our S3 pace and at least the DRS factor should be neutralized with the three shorter straights being in use.

Finally, Alonso claims he could've been on pole, that's a good one That car is nowhere in S3 for starters and purely set up for straightline speed.

Carlos Sainz lap before red flag came in. He was on very good lap till S2 just a tenth down. Remember S3 is our strongest sector. Ideally he would have been P1 or P2.

On the 2nd run I’m not sure wts his problem.

If Carlos can stay within the pit delta of Verstappen tomorrow by breezing past a few cars it would be great. While our car isn't the fastest on the straights, the double DRS early in the track should punish McLaren and Mercedes when their cars chew up the rears and they can't get traction. That pit delta would be so important to secure to prevent an undercut. What I'm concerned about would be if he gets stuck behind an Alpine or two which could really ruin his race and our strategy window.

Our race pace is better than our qualifying pace so I'm not that worried. But we need good lucks tomorrow, any ill timed SC/VSC/RF can easily screw us over.

Verstappen didn't make any mistake in his final lap, so they are full of that brown thing.

Charles reminds me of Mika Häkkinen in so many ways in that once it's go-time for that final crucial qualifying lap he's always there just like how Mika always found that little extra over DC on the Saturdays when it mattered. He also has that same precise driving style that Mika had.

Sainz : We had the pace, but Q3 went all wrong. First, red flag right before the line and then we couldn’t fire up the car for the final run. No time for a preparation lap, so the tyres weren’t ready. Difficult to digest but we'll try to come back!

I didn't get to see the quali but it's a shame for Carlos the way things worked out in Q3. Charles looks super strong again but I've been impressed with Red Bull's starts so Charles is up against it off the line tomorrow. I think Carlos can still have a good race and if he can climb the field quickly then he can still cause a headache for those infront.
