Silverstone in qualifying trim and in race trim are like two different sports. Just watch Leclerc battering Bottas in race trim last year and staying with the leaders even in 2020. Something tells me Ferrari have gone for a high-downforce set up whereas Red Bull are just sending it and going for a front row lockout. The times Leclerc set on the mediums yesterday in early FP2 were unbelieveable and that's the race tyre for tomorrow.
Having said that, for this to work P2 is a must this afternoon. If we're genuinely this slow and facing being beaten by Hamilton this weekend, no words could describe the contempt I'd feel for the development team of this car This aside, Silverstone really is a Sunday's game. We'll see what happens I guess.
People need to calm down a bit. FP3 isn't Q3. Race is where it matters.
But, we've Charles. I don't think I have to say more.
What is this new issue with gearbox!!
If we receive a major whipping this weekend I'm starting to doubt whether we'll even win another race this season. All out of a sudden even Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands, Singapore and Mexico don't seem so appealing at that rate.
Ferrari at PU level has set lower than RedBull: in the fast laps there were 7/8 km / h in favor of the RB18 however the F1-75 is more discharged. Ferrari can optimize on the C3. Mercedes is back more aerodynamically stable and it shows Maybe we will understand more in the race than in QP
@Giuliano Duchessa
This ferrari is falling apart more and more as the sessions progress
Our reliability been shiat, we’re no match for Red Bull reliability
The main worry for me is, ferrari didn’t solve porpoising issue yet. Which was expected to be resolved or at-least counter that this weekend.
Before FP3 the control unit was replaced (EC n.2) on the PEREZ car
I don't believe that we r falling apart.
I think Ferrari made a good basic car that they dont know how to upgrade it more .
In engine area obviously we pushed the engine so much after 2020 disaster and that has a reliability cost.
If we dont win this weekend its better to abandon any upgrades and focus on 2023 car.
I agree with you my friend....if you see my comments.Ferrari is the same story every year ..i said that from the beginning of this season and i was banned as troll!haha
Lets say we support the team and we hope for the best...but we know how it will end.
Lets hope we will have at least a good qualifying session without reliability issues. If we dont get pole,i think 2-3 will be ok .But of course i wouldn't bet my money on Sainz...
Let's see in just over an hour on raw pace, obviously race pace tomorrow as well. Interesting stat came up in P3 was Leclerc lost 0.44 on fastest lap to Verstappen just on the straights which was the entire gap. Someone somewhere else posted that Max turned engine up from FP2 to fp3 but Ferrari have not. If Ferrari are still 0.4 down in quali then that theory is BS but could be the case especially with Ferrari needing to hold back for precaution on engine modes in practices after terrible race failures.
Rain is coming
It's looking a bit wet!
Rain...great...
In these conditions, we definitely are going to be slower then RedBulls and don't knabout Merc
FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!
Take new engine again
Will they drive at all, coz we know Pirelli wet weather tires are useless?!?!?
Mother nature is the great equalizer.
It's not how start but how you finish.
Please don't bin it Charles and Carlos!
Wolf just said they can beat everyone and everybody now, except Max
"best track in the world" Not even close!
