On this day 71 years ago

On this day, the Ferrari team won the Formula 1 championship for the first time in its history.

On July 14, 1951, a Formula 1 race was held on the Silverstone track and the triumph was won by Jose Froilan Gonzalez in a Ferrari.

The Argentinian driver thus brought Ferrari the first victory in the team's history, and today they have a total of 241 victories and 16 constructors' championship titles.

The podium with González was then shared by two Alfa Romeo drivers, the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio, and Nino Farina in third place.

I wonder what's the state of the many Tifosi before us...

    Did they lose their hair?

    Or, spontaneously combust from frustration?

The Alfas were the best pre-war racing cars and were designed and run by the Ferrari scuderia
In short, the men were the same and the story continued (even if the first Ferrari' F1 wins (post wwar2) were on a modified Lancia D20 in my memory)
