Exactly...the car looked like a handful to drive ever since the 3 days of testing
I hope it’s not a fundamental error in the car and just a matter of finding that sweet set up spot

Wow, so now we’re fighting Aston Martin?? I thought the target was the championship this year
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Something to celebrate? RedBull is the bar, not Aston.

I know, it was directed at Ferrari, not you. These morons are going to be 5-6 if they are lucky and will celebrate it. Saniz already quoted saying the season is long even if we don’t start strong. These guys are going to pull the plug in a hurry.

I’ll save my doom and gloom for Q3. But it’s not looking good and I’m not confident right now. We may be fighting Aston and Merc….Let’s see if Ferrari can find the right set up or if the car is just internally flawed.

There are still some performance on the car, Charles's medium time was very competitive, only 1.4s behind Perez on softs, who improved nearly 2s when switched from mediums
But the car is still difficult to drive and very unstable, it looks like a diva

in the tests, Perez hit 1:30:2 on softs

Charles said something which was unclear…

Then Xavi said ‘copy we’ve seen it, trying to understand what happened there.’

Soft in the tests was softer than softs here. C3 is soft here, that was medium in the tests, fastest laps were on C4 and C5 in tests and those tyres are not available this weekend. So did Ferrari have the fastest medium tyre run this session?

I’m with you on the doom and gloom mate my fellow Canuck...we’ll see what we’ll manage to do in Q3 and if bad, let the DOOM AND GLOOM BEGIN

I'll reserve judgement till quali and race. Granted the noises coming out aren't massively encouraging but we still seem to be going through many different setups and levels of understanding which isn't ideal so close to the season opener

yes you are right, i lost the tyre point.

there is nothing wrong with our lap times. we don't practice like the other teams. we are still in the process of testing.

our lap times indicate long-run times. i think its kinda quick.

our problem is we have some problems with the balance of the car. but lucky we have enough time to find the optimal balance for the cars.

***Engine is turned down massively on all Ferrari powered cars. More than 15-20 kmh slower than last week's testing, on the straight.
*** Charles's time on mediums is quite good. Sector 1 and 3 are heavily dictated by engine power. But he's only 6 tenths slower the Perez in Sector 2. And he wasn't even pushing.

Are we still concerning about the reliability of engine after all this time again ?

    Guys calm down.
Aston Martin did their run on low fuel compared to RB/Merc & Ferrari. They are ahead of midfield that’s sure.
But not a competitor to above 3 teams. So don’t worry.

Reliability? Or sandbags? Maybe we know our engine is strong so we have been only focusing on race pace? One can dream…

    I seriously doubt it.
I believe this is a case of sandbagging. But we'll see very soon.
