    Good job Charles. P2.

Race pace is still the weakness, need upgrades to rectify it.

If the upgrades for the next grand prix improve our tire issues we might bring a fight to red bull

Race pace at the start was good, tyre usage was the problem

Compare to first races , we are kinda look closer without any big Update.

But of course it can be related to circuit.

Agree, but this was just 17 laps long, and MV had a huge hole on sidepod

But it is quite a complex issue. Solving the tyre wear is not about bolting downforce or reducing drag. These tyres go through various heat cycles during a race and they get harder after each heat cycles.

To solve the tyre issue, Ferrari needs to find a way to reduce the heat cycles of an already heated tyre and make sure it maintains optimal grip for longer period of time.

Not an easy thing to do. Plus, there are other complex characteristics like suspension geometry and contact frequency. It's a very hard problem to cure.

Yeah we barely manage to keep him behind with that hole.

But still better than being 1 second slower like in Saudi.

Charles able to keep the gap around 1 second for 7-8 laps.

Adjusted for driver skill considering who was in that other car, that's still 0.8 s/lap too slow in race trim. Garbage chassis.

I’m not sure what Sainz is doing the car…!! Mercs is draggy car & we have top speed advantage over them. Still Sainz managed to finish behind Russel? Crazy.

Tyre issues & Deg were major issues for ferrari since ages. They are not able to solve that anytime. Don’t expect miracles with updates.

I'm not sure why you guys still keeping high expectations of Sainz. Charles, Max, Lewis, Checo, George; all of them are better than Sainz.

Had it been Albon or Gasly, sure Sainz could've/would've beaten them. But that's not the case here. Our number 2 driver is quite weak and it's his own inflated ego keeping away from accepting this simple fact. I also blame Ferrari's management as well, they keep treating him as equal to Charles.

Not disagreeing with you one bit. I totally agree BUUUUUUT, Sainz has ALOOOOOOOOOOT($$$$$$$$$$$$$$) of sponsorship money behind him and he's going to be around the Scuderia for awhile.

P2 is like a win, but without a damaged car P3 is our maximum at the moment.

LMAO. They were side by side and George was fully entitled to go for the overtake. Max and his salty fanbase should be the last persons to complain about hard racing.

Oh, I agree. Russell held his line and went for the gap against Max and held it for several corners. IMO, it was a racing incident. It's not like Max hasn't done it in the past.

Charles did what he could with this car. So we must be satisfied with this P2. Tomorrow , being realistic , P3 for Charles is equal to a win in an RB. So, if he manages to bring the car to the podium I will be happy.
And Carlos...........well.......he is clearly a second driver. No more, no less.

I remember Bottas opening the whole sidepod on Raikkonen in the same corner. No penalty was given. So what's Horner and Verstappen whining about?

A podium would be like a win for Charles even the 3rd step. It would help his points tally along with to-day's 7

yeah, and their mechanics taking pictures of the damage like they're going to send it to a claims adjuster.

That's what happens when you're a mediocre driver, you go to a street circuit, get outqualified by drivers with real talent, start in traffic, get damage.

    Skill Issue.

Carlos is on the same level as Max. The Ferrari chassis is ****, and Charles is THAT good, especially at a street track that elevates driver talent.

You're falling into the Sky/British media propoganda.

Have to agree, we knew it was an almost impossible ask to expect Charles to hold off the RBs, he managed with Max, just, but tomorrow P3 would be like a win. Charles won't agree but what else can he do?

The weekend is a step forward, but the tyre deg is not acceptable. I can’t believe tat we didn’t seem to improve in comparison to last year.
