Charles Leclerc will start from the pitlane today. He wasn't happy with the car yesterday so the team has changed his gearbox and hence whole rear end. Other spec changes, presumably to give him more chance to overtake, have also been made.
From the end of FP3, they still did not understand what is wrong with the car. What is this? This team is completely overwhelmed, only a shadow of the past.

The Problem is we don't have drivers today that can give good input on car development like the great Schumacher! look what merc did with just having him for that short period of time.

I did not say wins i said development and they did win 7 after. His input defiantly helped them in regards to where to develop the car with Niki also. Two great minds.

So why hasn't his input helped them when he was driving with them?

So according to you, his input didn't improve the cars he was driving but somehow made the 2014 car a rocket ship, which he has never driven. Btw, Schumacher left Mercedes in 2012, nearly 15 months before the 2014 cars debuted on track.

Sure. But MS didn't make Mercedes the dominant team from 2014-2020, nor our drivers are responsible for the current state of SF23.

But apparently his feedback was pretty instrumental in helping Merc develop their cars... only according to Brawn or Toto or some other high up guy that used to work there.

Maybe , but McS was a 7time world champion with a tremendous career/ experience,AND he was one of the last drivers who has actually work with the engineers in the in season track testing in Foriano. So he had somehow "trained" with the engineers in developing the car !!!!
you cant compare him with the younger guys , as that it was just his "talend" in this because it was not . Its the same when we compare our seasons when we had in season testing and now !!!!
I bet 1 million that even if we had MSc now , the resault would be the same with this ,so called, team !!!!!!

You mean Rubens had no shot beating Todt threatening him to move over or lose your seat @ Ferrari . 2010 Hungary GP MIchael attempted to murder Rubens. Austria 2002 !! ! Great car, great driver; LEWIS IS THE GOAT IN F1 ! AS YOU ALREADY KNOW SHUMY DID ZERO WINS 3 YEARS WITH HIS HOME TEAM MERC.. Masi not Max beat Lewis out of #8 WDC .

The only way Rubens was beating Michael was if a Brazilian sponsor meddled with Ferrari. Thankfully management back then had a brain and that never happened.

If as you say Carlos is sub par; Charles is way below sub so far this season. Zero point races belong with Williams drivers never Ferrari. Charles needs to score points on his driving skills; just like Carlos is doing. Podiums with either driver would be just what we fans need.

Charles would have done to Schumy what he did to Seb! Not listen to Todt at the time and beat Schumy. Brasil had no shot against Germany back then fan wise. Austria 2002! No one was supposed to know let him pass. Rubens needed the job for sure.He and his family are now happily ever after $$$ and in good health because he LET MICHAEL PASS! As the saying goes "money talks bs walks! " Fast forward 2023 , where is Charles ? Carlos is putting the points up for Ferrari .
