Gap is indeed closed. From 40-50 seconds behind to now within the touching distance.

Yup second best we are now
We’ll see what happens next race when Merc will bring big updates
We’ll see if we can still be second in ranking

Suppose Carlos only has himself to look at. That penalty cost a podium.

I'll take being second best today. Can't really do much about RB & Max. They are fast everywhere, can run more downforce and still be as quick as anyone in a straight line plus their DRS is the best so it makes quali difficult for everyone else (says something that we get it occasionally).

Be interesting to see how we do round Silverstone, very fast corners.

We can definitely leapfrog the AM in the championship because of Stroll. But beating the Merc will be hard. A lot depends on the upcoming upgrades that are coming for both us and Mercedes.

Yup, degradation is no longer the issue. Now we need to find lap time gains.

I mean we looked dreadful 2 months ago. It is nice to back on podium
My thoughts on this is ,AM found HUGE lap time from last year, McL found quite a bit in their updates. Can we found something extra??? I mean this 2 teams proved that you CAN find something really big even with in season updates. CAN WE ???!!!

AM is straight copy of RB… hence gain is expected. Rest of the teams changing their design towards RB. Hence it will take time.

That would made us comparable to RB . I hope that Fred can get the engineer department working more effective

Toto Wolff says Christian Horner is 'frightened' about F1's 2026 rules because Red Bull's engine project is behind the curve

"I think what frightens him more maybe is that his engine programme is not coming along, and then maybe he wants to kill it [the rules] that way."

This is where I feel ferrari need to be smart play the cards to their own strengths…!! Don’t give any chance or room to chip in.

I think this was a great race for us all things considered.
Its really nice to see us taking P2 which is probably the best we can get this season.
And it was a straightforward race for Charles, finish more than 5 secs ahead of the rest so its not because he got lucky that others get penalty or anything like that.

Hopefully we will see more podium finishes like this

2 to 3 consistent podiums from here on would give the team good momentum & confidence in the factory for the engineers.
Great effort by them to bring these upgrades. They can do it.

Surely Fred's strategic target should be aiming at the technical department . Hope that next Technical Director will pull good result for us

The only thing we could say ,is that PER was starting 15th. If he was 1st-2nd row my guess is that he probably would have been 2nd, but not quite sure. Has hadn't Max pace but in times he was faster then Lec (with the same compound)
But yeh it was a solid 2nd for Lec !!!!

Leclerc (Ferrari): "In any case, it's still nice to get back on the podium after the last races which had been complicated. RB is still far away but we are working on it. We hope to be able to take advantage of the improvements made at Silverstone. "
Are we anticipate further upgrades for Silverstone??!!
