2023 Italian Grand Prix - Practice & Qualifying Thread

P2 and P4 in FP1 , everything seems good for us at those track where too much downforce isn't needed
Look like a dream team is coming

Yeah, as we know, we have s#$@ for downforce with this car which sadly cannot be fixed as it definitely has a fundamental problem

But hopefully one of our cars will be on the podium which will feel like a win for all the tifosi at Monza

Charles had radio issues throughout the FP1. He could hear his engineer talking to him but his engineer couldn't hear him at all.

We have the best engine and it will be our saving grace for this race. Plus, Ferrari have brought an ERS software upgrade.

Nothing conclusive because of Perez's crash.

Perez started on 1:25.8, did a 1:25.3 and then crashed. Max started on 1:25.7 and did a 1:25.2 before Perez's crash. Charles only did one lap (1:25.7) before the red flag and Sainz did 3 laps, all 1:26.0

After the GF, Charles did 1:24.8, Sainz 1:24.9, but both were in the slipstream of the cars ahead. So yeah, nothing conclusive.

A little bit behind Red Bull / Max before the red flag but after it Leclerc was the fastest one (although just a few laps)

The car looks good here but that was to be expected. Low downforce track with long straights and slow speed chicanes suits it well.

Man, how long does it takes to fix that issue?

RB and Mercedes do it in 1 race...

So there you have it...I am sure LEC will be there when Q3 comes and Sainz will be looking for some excuse. Anyway RB seems too quick in Quali also...maybe P2 and P3 is max we can get today.

Both drivers to be investigated after the session for being slower than the maximum lap time...good job.

It's between RB vs Ferrari, and usually Max vs Charles.

It has been said billions of times, but Ferrari needs to employ better race engineers. Not a single reminder from either race engineers about the maximum lap time limit.

Surely the drivers can see the delta time on the wheel?

Will be grid drops for us unless there is some justification for the breach.

If there is a delta. Normally Ferrari drivers see battery charge status and their sector speed times, from what I've seen from the onbard so far.

But again, it's the race engineer's job to remind the driver about these sorts of things. Like RB engineers reminded to both of their drivers.

Yeah of course we will get grid drops. When we have something to cheer about our team managed to fumble and mess it up.

    The delta is a 1:41.

Everyone else followed the delta.......except Ferrari. Looks like grid penalties at the end of qualifying.
It's not how start but how you finish.
