Charles was great today. Awesome start, given Max a fight for the first place for a lap and then making more thinking than our strategy team while driving a car 300kph.

Charles did all he could to-day for the team. Pity Carlos was not there to help.

Agreed … at least the last races seem to show an improvement specially in tire wear

Good effort from Charles trying to get us second in the constructors.

Overall we made a lot of mistakes collectively so it should of never come down to the final race to try and secure second.

Lots to improve on next season. Hopefully we've built something better. Fred said he knew since Bahrain the car wasn't good so let's see.

True, but Carlito boy could have done his part in quali and MAYBE just maybe we would have snatched P2 in WCC

True. But his pace was horrible today. Stroll finished way ahead of him with a worse car and both were pretty much at the same place after the first lap.

Qualified P16 when his teammate qualified P2 and never had the pace for points.

On the other hand if you are not 1st, than other positions are not that much important, especially 3rd will give us more wind tunnel time

Should have pitted Sainz for mediums with 15 laps to go. Had to pit anyway instead left him out losing seconds to everyone and when had to pit anyway just made it worse. Worry is if do have a good car next year the strategy is awful.

Could then blame it on Charles for his qual in Spain and no points finish? Bit stupid trying to blame it on one event, we have not been good enough all season.

Indeed. Ferrari have enough cash, dont need the 2nd place price money. As long as we put the Mercs in place next year it will be worth it!

Hopefully we see a chassis next year that can match Red Bull.

Ferrari also deserves some praise for turning this car around in races. From a car that was chewing up its tyres at the beginning to a car that takes care of its tyres as good as anyone towards the end. Well done.

But they need to turn their heads around and start backing Charles. No more Binotto-era ******** and pandering to the Sainz-clan

Well, Charles did everything he could, including that very clever move with Perez, but it just was not enough.
Carlos bad qualy cost us P2.

Ferrari should have done Pit lane start for Sainz with race setup. Atleast he would have got points. His pace was horrible today & yesterday in quali.

Ferrari should have judged it by his quali pace yesterday itself. Instead started in 16th.

Ferrari on mediums is now much closer to RB than start of the season. The major problem for Ferrari is Hard Tyres. They fall of the cliff soon & don’t get turned on immediately on the car.

& yes Ferrari should back Leclerc more and get the race winning car. Then we will see good battles in the front.

According to Fred Vasseur, Ferrari finally has a leader: a subtle dig at Carlos Sainz after Abu Dhabi qualifying?
It looks like they will !!!!

Hopefully next year’s car will be more competitive and able to fight for wins from the start
If that’s the case, surely Ferrari will have to back Charles as the lead driver

Not really any incentive under current aero regulations and budget cap to finish P2 anyway.

Can't spend additional revenue, so just disappears into Elkann's pocket.

Gets more wind tunnel time for next season.

At least it's a nice reminder from Charles who's the team's number one driver and Carlos has to ask how he managed to master Singapore but make Abu Dhabi look like Macau. Not that I was watching anyway. Might pay the subscription for next season if winter testing is alright, but until then 19 Firstappen wins during my rare spare time from work is something I can do without. Liberty Media have made F1 a predictable farce and it just keeps getting worse.

Extra engine means extra cost. Doesn't worth it, IMO.

Brembo how come CL (with more bad luck) is ahead in final standing than your favorite driver CS (with a 1 belt win as only non-redbull win of the season)? how come he is behind in points tally than CL?

I'm very glad to see Charles and the team still have plenty of fighting spirit despite the bad season we had this year.
Its clear Charles haven't given up yet. Give him a good car and he will be fighting for the title next season.

All things considered, we ended the season on a good note.

Perez rarely has a clean race, moron lost us P2 in constructers. Having said that, if our chances depend upon others, we have ourselves to blame first
