Hello. Hope everyone has had a Good Christmas and New Year. Launch time for the Team's cars for 2024. Williams were the first to unveil there car yesterday, at a Puma Store in New York. Williams now have a kit deal with Puma, replacing the previous deal with Umbro.
Can't predict Williams fortunes for 2024. Improvements are being made under James Vowles. Going by the below video, Williams having 'issues' regarding Pre Season Testing. Don't think it's as bad as it was in 2019, when we missed the first day of Testing.
    Enjoy the 2024 season.

Sorry about that, I thought I heard somewhere that Williams was the first. According to this, HAAS were the first team to unveil there 2024 livery. Going to miss Gunther Steiner.

Mclaren already showed their car before anyone else...even before their launch date.

Other than Williams livery and showing the car yesterday, do you know what other item was special about Williams?

Since 2014, Williams ran their "knight rider" steering wheel with no window display. They were the only team not running a window display on their steering wheel. In 2024, Williams FINALLY has a steering wheel with a window display.

Now you know. Some trivia for the avid F1 Williams F1 fan.

2026 is a whole different ball game.
How do you figure that Merc will finish #2? Crystal ball?
The only reason they finished #2 was the poor start of Ferrari, the DNFs (engine failures) of Leclerc. But in reality they should've been #3.

Mercedes will have less engine failures, good pit stops, and better tire strats throughout the season. 2022 and 2023 for Mercedes was a bad car design. They probably won't repeat a 3rd time.

But apart from that try to see the big picture.
This (to my eyes) spells that Merc's car is BAD. And there's a big chance that our car is actually -at the very least- better than our latest one and much probably than Merc.
So of course it is left to wonder how close are we to RBR?

Regarding Charles, last i 've read, his contract has a term he's now is team leader , so this will be interesting, for all those fantasizing that he'll fall to a #2 that'll definitely not happen.
And finally, we've got clarity about our drivers pairing. That can only be good, maybe now some Carlos fans can leave?
Are you okay with Lewis painting the LGBTQ flag on his Ferrari helmet IF it comes to that?

    I'm not.

Again, how do you figure all that? Just on previous years?
Because if that 's your guestimate, there's always the time for the mistakes / errors / mishaps to stop.
So basically what you do is trolling.

I could not care less. If I recall correctly, Seb did something like that.

Because Ferrari are more pron to those kind of issues than Mercedes.

Of course you could care less.

I for one hate it and hated it when Vettel did it. I don't like P&R invading F1 as much as Hamilton and Vettel did.

Just stick to racing!! Do that P&R on your own time.

Initially, I thought it was similar to the Williams 2024 car. Having quite a bit of Black in the colour scheme. Preferred the light blue of Alpine last season. Would have been fun if Mercedes still had the Black car. Try and pick the 3 teams cars out from a distance.

Mostly the cars are all carbon and less paint.....just to save weight.

FIA has to finally make a rule about minimum weight of the paint. Otherwise we will end up literally with black cars with numbers and one team logo on them. It's embarrassing for F1.

It's oversaturated with neon colours so it's a bit hard to tell...

Weren't Alpine supposed to be the great return of the proud days of French bleu on the race track like the Ligier days? Four years later the French national team drive in black and pink. F1 cars are absolutely hideously painted these days

They probably should raise the minimum weight to stop all the cars being painted in such dull colours. I'd like a clear blue Alpine, a grass green Aston Martin and a permanently silver Mercedes again.

It's their sponsor BWT. They paint their motorsport cars pink and blue hence their livery rendition.

Yeah agreed, if he's done anything wrong he needs to face the consequences. I wonder what the heck he did... what I've read seems to suggest it was for talking too harshly to an employee...

I wonder if they are just trying to find a reason to fire him, read somewhere Dietrich's successor is not on very good terms with Horner & Marko, he is not willing to give them as much free hand as his predecessor did

It sure looks like it, they've kind of left him to the wolves with the media. They seem to want to push him out...
