Ferrari has to be aggressive with updates. They really need to come out hard and push RedBull, make every race hard. If RBR are allowed to cruise like last year, it will be very tough to catch them up again.

Ferrari's redesigned rear suspension is innovative and a big step forward.
if RedBull still has anything more than 1 tenth in hand on race pace then 2 things...
the cost cap isn't working
the penalty for breaching the cost cap was not severe enough

RIP Michelle Trachtenberg
Ferrari isn't getting enough credit for the rear suspension...
Will Buxton was saying "Red Bull must know the 2023 concept has a ceiling because they have this new 2024 concept, so all the teams chasing which have all copied the 2023 concept aren't going to be able to catch Red Bull"
well no, Ferrari didn't copy at all. They didn't do what Mercedes did and just completely copy the same exact suspension philsophy. Ferrari is in a much better position to do what it appears they have done, correct tyre wear, add downforce, without losing what made the two preceeding cars fundamentally quick.

Read that article earlier, also read James Key from Sauber mention that he was surprised Ferrari stayed with the push rod because the pull rod was "clearly faster"... At this point we might as well just wait, we'll have a better idea this weekend. All I can say is I'm sick of the rule changes that prevented Ferrari's domination in the interest of what was "good" for the sport, yet Mercedes and Red Bull (twice) have been allowed to just walk away with everything for the last 15 years...
Hypocrisy at its finest...

Rest in Peace Leza, you were a true warrior...
Charles said the car is still understeer a little bit
Charles Leclerc: "The SF-24 is a very different car from the F1-75 but in terms of handling and how it reacts to adjustments it is much more similar. In terms of balance it is however a different car."

Fred Vasseur is really pushing hard to take risk
So according to some rumours, the current 066/12 engine has 25HP more than last year's 066/10. Now, I expect Ferrari to gain some horsepower with reliability upgrades over the winter, but 25 seems like a way higher number.
But if it is true, then we have a "bomba" of a PU in our disposal.
do we know if ferrari took rb brake idea and put it on this years car.remember reading months ago that rb brake design was all about weight saving and lowering the center of gravity.think there rotors were smaller and was able to recover more eletic power from it
Ferrari's biggest challenge this season will be Charles vs Carlos. I'm sure the points will mount up big time! And Sr Lewis over @ Merc working to reach 8. Hopefully Max will not have another no challenge season.
Ferrari: the SF-24 with a lot of aerodynamic load.
The Ferrari SF-24 confirmed that it found plenty of energy and was best in medium speed corners. Also challenging Red Bull and McLaren in the high-speed corners . At the start of Q1, Sainz felt particularly comfortable, but during the other two sessions, it was Leclerc who recorded the two best times with the SF-24. he problem that the SF-24 has suffered throughout the weekend, so far, has been the stretch between turn 1 and the exit of turn 3, where the SF-24 still reveals itself a little behind for the drivers who pay, only in this sequence, from 2 to 4 tenths. The new front mechanics and aerodynamics still need to be refined and the greater anti-dive gives a loss of sensitivity during more abrupt braking. The SF-24 is still a little difficult to turn when a large steering angle is required. However, the SF-24 also showed that it had a lot of aerodynamic downforce, also taking into account the choice of a slightly flatter rear wing than its direct competitors which also limited the gap in a straight line to 1 -2 km/h compared to the RB reference. The significant aerodynamic load then made the SF-24 the benchmark in almost all other corners, allowing Sainz and Leclerc to recover what they had lost at the start of the lap with a large sector 2. The Ferrari SF-24 proved to be the best in medium speed corners where last year the RB19 dominated and the SF-23 suffered greatly. In the last two laps of Q3, the SF-24 had an advantage of 3 to 7 km/h over the RB20.The SF-24 is also very close to the best at high speed, but with a lower charge level. The tires and hybrid also proved to be in excellent condition until the end of the lap, a positive indication also from a racing point of view.
So the SF-24 seems to struggle in low speed corner that need heavy rotation at the moment, hence the gap at turn 1-2 Bahrain was very big
Ferrari with it's newly designed SF-24, has a clear development path laid out.
The target for the first major upgrades remain round 4 of the championships. Ferrari feel the progression curve of it's 24 challenger might proof an annoyance to the Milton Keynes outfit.
