yeah, but RB can stop developing now, still win, focus on next year's car and the pattern continues, these new rules are a failure

all they had to do was overspend to get the advantage once

amazing job to drive around an issue like that.

either that or these races are all tyre management and these cars aren't being pushed at all

    Charles: "So what happened?"

Xavi: "So we could see the imbalance between front left and right temperature and then we could see the pulling on the brakes."

    Fred: "We will explain later."

It's the same scenario like with previous rules. Back then Mercedes got a head start with the engines and was only caught in 2021. Now RedBull got the ground effect handed to them as they have Newey, the only aerodynamicist in F1 who was succesfull during previous groud effect formula. It's not issue with the rules themselves. It's an issue with testing ban and budget cap.

Last year was way worse. So let's wait and see. The coming developments are going to be crucial.

Al least we have shut down all those annoying noises that were coming from the Mercedes, Mclaren and Aston camps

Great drive from Carlos. Some great overtaking.

Charles also drove really well. He looked quite angry getting out of the car.

If only F1 can do something like WEC , Totoya from domination for many season sudenly become a tractor at the back of the grid or Prema in F2

I don't think that will be the case. You need the sidepods to deflect the dirty air from the front wheels. Mercedes figured it out the hard way and I remember Binotto saying they tried that concept as well and it's not the way to go. But then again... I'm not Newey.

    I think it's not no-''sidepod'' but more like no-''sidepod-inlet''

Would you really like that though? What WEC has is balance of performance. Basically punishing the good cars with weight/power loss so the teams who did worse job in the factory had a chance. That more artificial than DRS covered in melon flavor.

IF Newey figures it out with no sidepods that Mercedes couldn't do in 2 years time, then Newey is almost God-like in the F1 community.

I guess P2 & P3 in WDC we can aim for & 2nd in WCC. As Perez is at our striking distance.

Max-P1 is untouchable at the moment. We need upgrades on this car to challenge him at specific tracks. Seems like he does have edge of 0.5 over Ferrari in race pace.

I hope the upgrade in Japan will close that gap , this 1.0 version of SF-24 is looking really good !

Yup. Hard tyre race pace & deg looks good, which bodes well if Ferrari gets some upgrades & find a lap time/performance.

SF-24 is a good base to start with from Ferrari. I see a good improvement. Great work by the entire team.

You are right. This is not the zero pod, more like zero inlet.

And I'm sure sidepods are not dictating Red Bull's current pace.

The base is very good. Now they need to chase and find performance, which they were unable to do at this time last year.
