Another venue that poses awkward times for the "rest of the world." Of course to be fair, the rest of the F1 calendar is awkward for them as well. Anyway, what I wanted to say is, did anyone watch FP1? Any observations to share?

Ferrari has tyre degradation from the start , LEC lapping faster than VER around 1 sec . LEC can't find the ultimate pace yet compare to SAI . AM and Macca is quick but worse degradation. RB is mile ahead in term of performance

It’s the cold temperatures that kills our performance. Our car like the heat to bring those tires in optimum range
I think we’ll struggle a bit at this track…red fools yeah, they’re miles ahead of us

Marko says Leclerc's racepace amazing but he believes we were on less fuel. So let's see FP3..what it reveals.

In long run our pace is currently better than RB , we will fully know after FP3 .But in quali lap RB is still ahead

Sainz says we are closer to RedBull than his expectations:

If we really end up closer, this must be some achievement!!

Some photo journo caught the RB20 straight towards them and took a nice pic of the floor head on. It appears RedBull added two "tunnels" (one on either side) closest to the keel part of the floor. Very interesting. I haven't seen anyone else post these "tunnels" underneath the car.
It's not how start but how you finish.

I don't see RB being "miles ahead". I still expect RB to win this race, but it will not be a walk in the park for them.
Reading into free practice long run pace is becoming pointless. Yes, Charles was doing faster laps, but it was only 3 laps and it was in FP1. Mclaren were doing 1'34's, so there were varying levels of fuel loads at play.

Carolos was talking about a 2 tenth of a second advantage that they have. But hey, all of this is great considering where Ferrari were last year at this time. I'll take it. Hopefully Ferrari can beat McLaren on Sunday and take Perez.
Rest in Peace Leza, you were a true warrior...

I guess Ferrari lost its one lap pace advantage over race pace or they not able get these tyres into right window as quick as RB.

Free practice 3 simply a screw up old habits die hard.Charles frustrated and angry with the team.Ferrari left there run far to late. The reason God only knows.

We went too late to get a clear track...as easy as that. Charles should learn not to get frustrated with small small things. He must also realise that we gave up our good old quali pace for much important race pace.

Yes the current situation with the Suzuka layout is not ideal as you cant overtake here even with decent racepace advantage. Now up to the team to compromise racepace for quali or not?

Hopefully our race pace gives us a chance tomorrow. We will have to get creative with the strategies though.

All down to warmup issue. I've said it previously, the car struggles in low temperature.

But it will be a very good race car tomorrow.

I'm afraid that we will stuck behind dirty air if we don't qualify good enough

Is it our car is weak in High speed corners or just a tyre temp issue?

Clearly tyre temp issue , we're losing mainly in S1

Overtake on this track seems very hard
So I hope it won't hurt us tomorrow even if we have a better race car
