Now i'm thinking again , we're behind just RBs and Norris who did a very good job today . And atleast Mclaren won't outscore us today , i would be happier if Hamilton can overtake Piastry

Its just one race and we doesnt lose big points
its just that its start the questions . Is this just 1 (bad ) off for us ??? Or the beginning of a trend . Who much the upgrades will give us.
This race proved us that things might not come us we think there will be , like no one thought that Norris would be so much faster then us !!!??!!!

Suzuka & China exposed weakness of SF-24 that’s what I feel. Hope Ferrari can work on it.

McLaren & Ferrari are the only teams I guess with no updates so far.

We are relying on tyre saving so much.

Norris is pretty much overrated driver on the grid.

Norris was very good today in that McLaren. The car just wasn't suited to this track this weekend but I felt like we minimised what we could and finishing Infront of Piastri when you see the performance of that McLaren with Lando in it doesn't look too bad.

I'd attribute our "poor" pace today on 27C track temperature. First time Mclaren finished ahead of Ferrari.

But still good haul of points.

Anyway I'm not too sad , at least we maximised the points and the team management side is pretty stable so far . Let's cheer for our WEC team this afternoon at home race Imola !

    Charles Leclerc post-race radio:

“It was tough, McLaren today... I mean I couldn't do anything more.”

“Turn 1, 2 and 3 a puzzle to me. I think we'll have to check later because I've really tried everything.”

    S1 is very bad

This!!!! Its not that we have much better pace then McL. In all previous races they where quite close to us . It was just a bit better tire management,or better strategy from that have put us in front of them.
Im saying this because i use to listen how good we are everywhere , and the results ( performance) show other things.
Are we really understend the car???
Are we really now how to upgrade it and put stable performance on it ?????
Im starting to seriously question this because for examplr for today the team and drivers were listening quite confident yesterday about our race pace and where proved dramatically wrong !!!!

S2 wasn't good either. Also lost time on the straights. Puzzling.

Probably due to medium-low wing config? Track surface? Temperatures. Many things to look into.

If it’s track temp, Suzuka was almost the same where we had good pace over McLaren on the mediums & hards.

Either it can be track surface or wrong set-up

Ferrari had the measure of everyone bar Red Bull until now. Even in yesterday's sprint we were the 2nd fastest team. But something happened today, maybe they messed up the setup after sprint, maybe the low surface temperature hindered us more than others.

Since the ChineseGP, back in 2019, we have had a total of 106 races. Max Verstappen, with todays victory, has won 53 of them, which means 50% of all those races.

The fwrrari is not yet an all round f1 car like redbull.Certain tracks will be great while others will speak for themselves. Today is just one example.

Also RB did a 2.0s double stack pit stop today. Their pitstop is the best and most consistent than any other team

We’re banking a lot of hope for this Godly and significant package we have coming for Imola…it better be at lest HALF a second worth a lap time so that’ll bring us a lot closr to red fools but away from Mcmowers which are breathtaking down our necks
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

IF it wasn't for both SC's, Max would have finished close to a minute if not over a minute over everyone else and probably lapped P13 cars and up.

I don't know if it's possible but the SF-24 needs the F1-75 front end. The car seems flat footed in twisty turns. The front end is lazy, the problem might be mechanical in nature maybe because of the anti dive set

up. Those upgrades can't come soon enough. I was watching some F1-75 poles from Leclerc and that is the type of front end he needs.

Damage limitation for both Ferrari's with good points and plenty of data to analyse.

So, the hard tyres were our reason for struggle today. Which is strange cause the SF24 had performed really well on those rubbers before the Chinese GP. On mediums, Charles was closing in on Norris before the VSC and the subsequent SC.

Also, the car lost straight line speed compared to the sprint. In Sprint, Charles was hitting 338 with DRS, in today's race, it was 332 max. It is quite clear now that Ferrari opted for different setup for the race. Charles also confirmed that after qualifying.

So, whatever they expected from today's setup didn't come into fruition. It made the car slow.
