So that's 2 wins for Max in a day.....many hours put in in both races.
It's not how start but how you finish.

McLaren now has both better warm-up and tyre deg than us. They solved a problem we have had for over a season in a matter of a few races, and we continue to bring updates with no real life gain

Jumpy on the gun a bit there mate. The 2021 McLaren was also very strong in Imola. Imola isn't really a track where aero makes the difference, it's the efficiency that gives you all the lap times. Pretty sure last year's SF-23 would've been quite competitive here, and it wasn't a good car at all.

Mclaren on a roll here. They got the top speed, aero, tyre warm up issues & tyre deg under control now & are challenging RB now.

Ferrari need to step up a bit. Good that gap is under 9sec. But still 3rd fastest car.

At the end of the day Charles finished 7 seconds behind Max and he's now P2 in the championship. Ferrari also sitting comfortably P2 in the championship as well.

Ferrari needs to gain back the top speed advantage. This car has plenty of downforce, but it is a bit slower on the straights.

Not sure how does Monaco track bodes well SF-24.

But this track is very boring & upcoming track too no overtakes. All in all not a good month being a F1 fan.

If Ferrari gets beat by McLaren in the next two races on pure pace, then yes. But let's wait a bit. Charles out qualified that heavily upgraded McLaren in Austin, and he got hindered by the VSC & the SC, which enabled Norris to get the lead with the freshest tyres.

Next race means nothing wouldn’t use it as a benchmark for anything…Monaco is a weird track

Yeah definitely not worth looking at for indications on what the future performance might be.

Not only the top speed ( witch is an issue) . Today we where ok(ish) till that mistake from Lec. So did that cost him something more on the car ( a damage) or we run out of tires. This are 2 questions that hurts . 1st if it is of that mystake ,then Lec has to finally put his head in line bacause this is unacceptable for a driver that wants to become a world champion . Has was push ok but not as much as Lando in end and Lec managed to lost it. If it was for tires then we have problem because to bring an update that solves 1 issue but creat another one ,isn't an upgrade .
All in all i was happy with Lec's race (both him and the car) till that mystake. But once again we are leaving we our haed down !!!

What a boring race at the front. Further back it was a little more spicey. 3rd and 5th was the best we could get to-day amid hopes from Friday's running.
Monaco next.....will Charles have some luck here? it's about time he had a home win.

Atleast this is the best result we can get , Charles P2 in WDC and still a podium for us . If Binotto is still our TP with Rueda's strategy it could be a disaster

This was Charles's only mistake in the whole weekend and it didn't cost him anything. That McLaren was very fast in the first sector, even with DRS he couldn't get close to Norris, so he was pushing extra hard in the corners.
Plenty of drivers made mistakes throughout the whole weekend, including Max and Norris.

The SF24 has the aero and traction prowess of the F1-75, now it needs to get back its predecessor's efficiency. Combining both those characteristics would made this car very fast. And I'm sure Ferrari knows these limitations and working hard to fix them.

The only thing worrying me is that Carlos does not seem at all at easy with this evolution of the car.

It's obvious since 2022 season , he can't drive oversteery car . SF-23 before Japan need to setup understeery to avoid snaps and that's why he is able to keeping up with and on occasionally better than Charles in some race last year

Sainz is, was and always will be the slower driver. It's just he had luck when it mattered.
