It's not about managing. It's about not opening the gap to Russel too much to give McLaren to try something

Charles has been instructed to not push to avoid opening a pit stop gap to Russell.

I believe he can go to the end , as we see how well he is from Japan

There obviously is a chance or a danger in that, as even teams are now talking about that possibility. It would be hard, but with graining and huge tyre advantage at the end... who knows
